What a mess.....
it is now reported that Six (6) American soldiers were KILLED while searching for the putative deserter.

That needs to be discussed, in a legal setting. UCMJ for the Soldier, and a Congressional hearing for Obama. Nobody is above the law. This deal could have waited. Obama is not a king.

This is an article about the family of one of the brave men killed while searching for the coward Bergdahl.

In an exclusive interview his father Andy Andrews told MailOnline: ‘For his family it’s good to get him back but we will never be able to get our son back because of the actions of this guy (Bergdahl).

‘I think people need to be aware that the guy was not a hero and American lives have been lost trying to save this deserter’.

Lt Andrews was one of six men who died while apparently searching for Bergdahl, who is said to have voluntarily left his post in Afghanistan on June 30, 2009.

His release was brokered with the Taliban in exchange for five Guantanamo detainees and has ignited fury among many whose lives were changed forever as a result.

‘It’s a big cover-up like Benghazi, just like everything Obama has done. We want the truth to come out’
- Andrew Andrews

During the months-long hunt for him vital resources were re-deployed to help with the hunt and scarce surveillance drones and helicopters were assigned to the task instead of other duties.

Former colleagues of Bergdahl claim that this put them at risk - and led to lives being lost.

What is undisputed is that Lt Andrews, who was from Dallas, Texas, died at the age of 34 on September 4, 2009 while serving with the 25th Infantry Division on his second tour of Afghanistan.

At the time his family say they were told that his men were hunting a Taliban commander and that the truck at the front of their group ended in a hole after being hit by an Improvised Explosive Device.

As the men got out to try and move the truck, a Taliban fighter with a rocket propelled grenade emerged and fired at them.

Lt Andrews was the only one to see it and tackled three of his men to prevent them being hit. He took a direct hit and died.

Trading 5 of the top enemies 'elite' for an AWOL doesn't sound like a good bargain to me...

Bergdahl Is No 'Hero'
Jun. 2, 2014 ~ Obama's Enduring Freedom 'Poster Child'
On 31 May, Barack Hussein Obama announced that he traded five of the most violent al-Qa'ida Taliban for the return of an American soldier, Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held (or as many military forward operators say, “hosted”) by the Taliban Haqqani network, for five years. This trade is yet another Obama political charade, this time to divert attention from his colossal VA health services scandal and his highly politicized Memorial Day and West Point commencement remarks, which were panned from Left to Right.

Obama violated U.S. law requiring the Executive Branch to give Congress 30 days notice on the negotiated release of any Gitmo prisoner. He also violated long-standing policy of not negotiating with terrorists, setting a very dangerous precedent by greatly increasing the value of kidnapped Americans, both military and civilian, as Islamist group bargaining chips. Additionally, he spit on the graves of those who gave their lives to capture these terrorists, and those who died attempting to recover Bergdahl after he walked off post in 2009.

In a joint statement, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard McKeon and the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, James Inhofe, said, “Trading five senior Taliban leaders from detention in Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl’s release [has given] our terrorist adversaries a strong incentive to capture Americans. That incentive will put our forces in Afghanistan and around the world at even greater risk.” House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Rep. Mike Rogers, said, “You’ve sent a message to every Al Qaeda group in the world…that there is value in that hostage…that they didn’t have before.”

The “Taliban Five” are Mullah Mohammad Fazl (Taliban army chief of staff), Mullah Norullah Noori (senior Taliban military commander), Abdul Haq Wasiq (Taliban deputy minister of intelligence), Khairullah Khairkhwa (Taliban governor of the Herat province and former interior minister) and Mohammed Nabi (senior Taliban figure and security official). Former POW, Sen. John McCain, declared that they are “the hardest of the hard core. These are the highest high-risk people.”

And what did we get in return?

I don't see the family of the dad guy signing up to fight. Why should someone have to sacrifice their life? The guy wasn't a coward at all.

I am going to post this on all the Bergdal threads, it needs to be seen.

I was there in AFG at Kandahar AFB in June of 2009. The whole theater was abuzz about the "missing soldier", and indeed there was a lot of sudden changes in operation tempo.

As rumors go, the stories varied widely.

The story I heard most consistently was that he was "misled" off post. "Tricked" by some local nationals to sneak away in order to score some alcohol.

That was pretty much all I knew up until the moonbat messiah sold us out and gave up 5 dangerous sociopaths in exchange for this dipshit. The stories that have come out from the people in the bunkers with this dipshit paint an even worse picture, but the most glaringly consistent aspect is that the dipshit voluntarily left a secure area to do something he shouldn't have been doing.

Turns out it was another "introverted" bed wetter. YES, ANOTHER GODDAMNED LIBERAL with no friends. Too fucking arrogant of course to consider some introspection, he blamed the people around him for his social failure.

Now as far as the bed wetters are allowed to "think", the dipshit is somehow a hero. The moonbat messiah made a great decision on by putting a price on the lives of US military personnel.

That's because he saved one of "their own", another sniveling, spoiled, self absorbed anti-American douchebag who should have been aborted.
