Facebook to release Russia ads to Congress amid pressure
3000 paid ads seems to be a huge amount.
It does beg the question.
What price free speech ?
Answer - whatever facebook charges.
I hope we can get to see these ads.
I also hope that facebook cough up in other jurisdictions.
France and Holland prior to their elections.
And the UK before the brexit vote.
And if facebook cant quite trace the source of the payments then they should hand it over to the authorities who can do so.
In the uk there are limits on what you can spend on an election. It will be interesting to see how deeply corrupt the system is.
