Human beings are curious about how to reach out and grab things, and they have been since the early days of the caveman.

When we look at movies and stories about dastardly villains who spook us with their ability to get at us when we are most vulnerable, we find images of monsters and ghouls with prongs, daggers, or hooks.

We seem to want to create images of weapons. How would Satan capitalize on this vanity?

The John Boorman film "Excalibur" (1981) presents a portrait of a deadly enemy of Camelot named Mordred, suited in an ominous armor of shining gold and armed with a spear. The timeless story of the magical flying boy Peter Pan (J.M. Barrie) presents the portrait of a crooked adversary named Captain Hook whose one hand has been replaced with a terrible metal hook which he uses to make himself even more ugly.

Where does Satan find man's yearning for muscular fantasies?

It occurred to me the other day that the lines have been blurred concerning what is of Satan's camp and what isn't. Too many people believe that Fantasy films such as X Men, Superman, Batman are harmless entertainment. They fail to see or understand the subtle indoctrination that is going on - to believe that alien beings (which are in reality fallen angels destined for hell) are superior beings - to believe that humans are inferior beings - no more discerning than the dumbest of beasts (forgetting they were created in the image of God - Genesis 1:26) and so with that it is time to expose some of Satan's deceptions that Hollywood puts on as harmless entertainment. We'll also examine what is behind these messages! Watch this!

Satan, the talking serpent, is a creature that tries to deceive the gullible into doing the exact opposite of what God commands. In the story of Adam and Eve, God told them to refrain from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because they would die in the very day that they ate of it.

Satan comes along and tells them that the truth was that they would not die and would become like God if they ate of the fruit.


A modern equivalent would be that in scripture God forbids idolatry and clearly teaches that death is the consequence for non compliance. Satan would be any lowlife pretending to be religious that would try and deceive the gullible into defying the divine command saying they could practice idolatry and worship Jesus who was a human being or some nonexistent trinity and not die as scripture clearly teaches but instead they will become like God and will receive eternal life.

So dear Jeremiah, if the very scriptures that you profess to believe is the very word of God are true, then you are a perfect example and direct descendant of that ever elusive talking serpent of old.

You really are quite the lowlife trying to incite animosity against actors and artists while it is you who as revealed by your own testimony in your own words is the real adversary and enemy of God.

I have to agree with you Hobelim, however one of the many christs offered the same deal as the serpent by saying believe in him and you'd surely not die. Turned out to be a false promise that has cost over 50 million murders. Of course it's always possible that none of the figures was that insane to offer such a promise and Roman authority used it to gain devotees and people to die for the kingdom.
We can never know since Rome was famous for changing names and times so as to confuse history and investigation into real events.

By revealing through words and deeds the only right way to interpret and conform to the divine commands that leads to the fulfillment of the promise of life for obedience Jesus effectively eliminated the death consequent to disobedience, the burden of the law, for all those who believe in him and act on that teaching.
