No, that's not it at all. Even in a family, most families are not 'socialistic'. There is still normally one person that makes the key decision calls. Kids generally do not have 'an equal vote' in how the household, or the assets of the family, or used or distributed.

My father, made it very clear that as long as I lived under his roof, I had to follow his rules. That's not socialism. There was no equal ownership of the car, when I got my divers license. I had to ask permission to 'borrow the use of his car', and many times the answer was 'no', and there was no 'vote' on the matter.

Here in this family we ALL work together to make the home run like a well oiled machine. Everyone helps do laundry,dishes,vacuum the floors etc. As in ALL societies those of seniority and whose job it is to take care of the children do make the final decisions just like in a Racial Socialism society we would not have elections but the best and brightest would be tasked with insuring the entire society runs well.He/or she would not be above the people but WITH the people...democracy is the easiest way for a homogeneous society to destroy its self. Its why a society run by the best and brightest will be always needed.

Who determines what they're "fair share" is, some politician? What gives the politician the moral authority to make such a decision? Does the majority make the decision? Majority rule is two wolves and a sheep deciding on what to have for dinner. Majority rule is hardly a basis for justice.

Hmmm, slashing taxes help everyone. No conservative believes in subsidizing business, and mandatory labor unions are bad for workers. The free market is not a subsidy for business.

I love this notion that socialism is some indefinable concept which can't truly be understood.

Socialism is nothing but collectivism... wherein the 'good of the collective supersedes the rights of the individual... there are infinite rationalizations and twists which get hyphenated names and are discussed and studied ad naseum by the academics (Socialists), wherein the failure of each would-be experiment is quickly assigned to those who stand for individual liberty.

In short, Socialism is yet another consequence of the same perversion of human reasoning that concludes that 'THE EARTH IS WARMING, THE POLAR CAPS ARE MELTING AND THE SEAS ARE RISING..., that Demonstrably abnormal behavior is normal and that there is a RIGHT to strip an innocent pre-born human life, when that life is seen as an inconvenience... . It rationalizes that fairness is equality, then they define fairness in wholly inequitable terms. All of which sums to the self-evident truth, that socialists, are idiots.
