Explain Why You Oppose A Donald Trump Presidency

Before we start, can I count on you responding in the same manner which I did? Because with most Trump supporters, they never identify the "how". I hope you'll prove to be different. I expect a detailed response.

Let's reflect upon the reason(s) you are opposed to a Donald Trump presidency: Is/are your reason(s) one or more of the following?

Mr. Trump has proposed securing our southern border.
This much I agree with. However, when he characterizes it as stopping illegal immigration, it's simply not true. What it will do that is valuable is restrict the payloads illegals can bring across the border. In this age, that alone makes building the wall worth it.

He has pledged to deport illegal aliens. ILLEGAL aliens!
I oppose this on two fronts.

Front 1: Its cost prohibitive. And no, the costs will NOT be offset by the supposed savings. In the first place, Illegals pay taxes in the form of sales taxes alone; let alone other taxes and fees they may encounter--just as you and I would. Secondly, the "savings" will quickly evaporate after we add in the costs of the wall, the maintenance on the wall, the costs of the new "jackbooted thugs", their training, incarceration costs, detainment costs, the costs of hearings, etc...So, lets say that you could locate every illegal alien and get rid of them? What happens to the infrastructure you sat up? You still have that cost.
Front 2: It will give everyone from hiring managers to leasing agents cause to discriminate. If there is a question about hiring some one who is illegal vs an equally qualified candidate who is anglo (the equal is Hispanic), there is little question (or blame) that they will opt to hire the Anglo when there is the matter of their business or themselves being fined.

He will strip anchor babies of their citizenship....
This violates a covenant we've always had in this nation. Most persons who are Americans are only able to justif y their status by being born here. If you or I or most people on this board had to take an immigration exam, there is a very good chance that we would flunk and not pass. I am grateful that the 14th Amendment paves the way.

He will have Japan and other nation provide funding necessary for their own military protection.
I will pass on this one for now. See the "tariff" response.
He will seize the oilfields in Iraq to recoup any costs in defending Iraq militarily.
We spent 10 years fighting in Iraq for zero reason. Unless his plans are to give us a 51st state with American settlers, American infrastructure, American style republican government , etc... it's an idiotic idea that will do nothing other than get a lot of men and women killed.
He will impose tariffs on products manufactured outside the United States.
Yeah. What he doesn't tell you is that the countries exporting items to the US own our debt. If they start selling their T-Bills, inflation will take off as the money supply dries up. You try that with Japan (and China) and you'll see runaway inflation, the price of cars skyrocket (Detroit will have to raise prices too by the way because a lot of those components are made over there). Even cars made here will skyrocket. It will hurt American consumers the most as all costs will be passed along to us.

He will reduce regulations that are unfriendly to small businesses.
Well, he will force small businesses to e-verify all of their employees. This will drive up the costs of doing business and the inevitable re-training costs. Not sure about his other ideas.

He will reduce the tax burden upon the American taxpayer.
How?

He will create incentives to keep companies from moving their operations abroad.
Such as?

He will build the strongest and most powerful military in the world.
We already have that several dozen times over. FDR Beat him to it.

He will take care of our veterans instead of taking care of illegal aliens.
So, he is proposing reducing taxes, building a stronger military, and increasing spending on veterans?

Any idea where the money will come from?

He will be the best friend Christians have ever had in a position of power.
I think Christians will probably argue JC is doing that right now.

He will stop the abortions and sales of dismembered murdered unborn and just born children by Planned Parenthood.
Infringing on a woman's choice? I oppose that.

He will not accept contributions from lobbyists or special interest groups.
I agree with that.

He will work as our President for $1.00 a year and will accept no pension when he leaves office.
Okay. The pittance we pay our Presidents and their pensions are little worry.

He will support law enforcement and restore law and order to our cities.
Can't disagree with that.

Now, again I ask you: Just what is it that you take exception to with Mr. Trump?

All detailed above.

The favor of a detailed response is expected. But I won't hold my breath.

Youre deflecting on your own thread. Concentrate. I dont have any politicians. I am actually glad he is running. He provides a clear and decisive line between sanity and insanity. Everyone thats intelligent will vote for someone other than Trump. The retards and crazies will vote for him. I am curious to see just how many idiots vote for him.

Right now since he has signed the stupid Republican pledge and brought the hard-line Republicans into his camp, I would say somewhere around 50+ percent of the Republican would vote for him. There will be many more once these with 3 to 15% of the vote drop out. Save your food stamps - you're gonna have to get a job.
I guess there is a reason you cons have a lower intellect level. Now you think all republicans are going to vote for Trump just because they are Republicans. You do realize they have the option of not voting at all or voting for the other guy right?

Your post is beyond even your regular level of stupidity. Eventually, there will be ONE facing off against the Democrat candidate. Right now, that ONE appears to be Trump. It is still a long time before any elections however and things could change. Some Republican contenders will soon begin dropping out because of the polling which will result in their losing some of their contributors. I understand Mr. Bush has already lost one major contributor.
Your post is right on par with your known lack of intelligence. You actually think every rep is going to vote for Trump. I knew you were dumb but I now have to move you to my imbecile list.

My statement about you're having to go to work once we have a Republican President really struck a nerve with you, didn't it?

The rights inability to accept that there are complex issues in the world, and can't be handled with simple bumper sticker approaches, is probably going over your head, along with this BS hammock premise you push!

I don't think you have been paying attention.

Trump changes his convictions more often than he changes his underwear.

Trump is not an honesty/dishonesty question. Trump is a consistency question. Do you really want a President who could wake up one day and decide it would be a great idea to grant amnesty to ISIS?

"I like their style. They don't take shit from anybody. We're putting up a hotel-casino in Syria together."

No. I thought it was a joke. Why would I go to work for someone else when I have my own business?

It was no joke. The onbe about your having your own business is a joke though unless you are cleaning toilets because that's about all your intelligence will allow you to do.
Whats an "onbe"? Of course it was a joke. I have no desire to make money for someone else and wait on the vaunted trickled down effect.

First off I posted what Mr. Trump said he would do. I certainly realize that assuming a four year term, what he says he will do and what he might be able to actually get done are two entirely different things altogether. That said, if he is able to accomplish at least some of these things it will be far more than either the Democrat Party or Republican Party have been able or willing to do. There is a boatload of things that need to be addressed and he appears to be the only one with the gonads to even bring up the issues.

Right now since he has signed the stupid Republican pledge and brought the hard-line Republicans into his camp, I would say somewhere around 50+ percent of the Republican would vote for him. They are not over anyone's head. Like most Liberals, you seem to think that you are the only one in the world with an education. I hate to burst your bubble but you're not. Trump is the only one with the gonads to talk about real issues. The real issue is not what to name a damn mountain.

Read it. It is what the man has said. Perhaps you might get off the forum and listen to the news. Try keeping your mouth shut and listening for once.

Mostly, my issue with Trump and his supporters is that they simply doesn't understand how our government works.

All of the nonsense you've posted above is either meaningless rhetoric, or well outside the powers of the President of the US.

Agree. Trump is not suitable to be president. He's a freak. He's a celebrity. He has no dignity, not the type of dignity the office demands. He doesn't have a clue about diplomacy or world affairs. Just the fact that he is being taken seriously as a presidential candidate is humiliating for the US. People may have elected people like Jesse Ventura or Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor, but making Donald Trump president is insane

People may have elected people like Jesse Ventura or Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor, but making Donald Trump president is insane

.

We elected Obama and his ugly wife.

Let's reflect upon the reason(s) you are opposed to a Donald Trump presidency: Is/are your reason(s) one or more of the following?

Mr. Trump has proposed securing our southern border.
He has pledged to deport illegal aliens. ILLEGAL aliens!
He will strip anchor babies of their citizenship....
He will have Japan and other nation provide funding necessary for their own military protection.
He will seize the oilfields in Iraq to recoup any costs in defending Iraq militarily.
He will impose tariffs on products manufactured outside the United States.
He will reduce regulations that are unfriendly to small businesses.
He will reduce the tax burden upon the American taxpayer.
He will create incentives to keep companies from moving their operations abroad.
He will build the strongest and most powerful military in the world.
He will take care of our veterans instead of taking care of illegal aliens.
He will be the best friend Christians have ever had in a position of power.
He will stop the abortions and sales of dismembered murdered unborn and just born children by Planned Parenthood.
He will not accept contributions from lobbyists or special interest groups.
He will work as our President for $1.00 a year and will accept no pension when he leaves office.
He will support law enforcement and restore law and order to our cities.

Now, again I ask you: Just what is it that you take exception to with Mr. Trump?

Trump is a fucking idiot. He's a Democrat in sheep's clothing. He is running strictly for some weird combination of sabotaging the GOP and stroking his ego. If elected Trump will raise taxes; he will fail to accomplish anything on immigration (despite his ridiculous rhetoric); will be a foreign policy nightmare, probably landing us in multiple wars needlessly; and he will support increased gun control. Worst of all, he has yet to show a long form birth certificate to verify he was born on planet Earth, which is extremely troubling given the fact that his appearance is more Talaxian than human.

HE IS JUST ANOTHER OBNOXIOUS , FASCIST DEMAGOGUE POLITICIAN

You are an idiot and a racist. There is no comparison between Obama and inappropriate celebrities as presidential candidates. You know what: you are so stupid and beneath the level of intelligent discussion, I'm not going to respond to you again. What a complete idiot you are.

What makes you think I have to even honor you with a response at all? Who do you imagine yourself to be to dictate anything at all to anyone. Were you brought up with your parents giving you everything you wished for your birthday. LOL!! Throw a tantrum or something.
So you admit your OP is not well thought out?

Read it. It is what the man has said. Perhaps you might get off the forum and listen to the news. Try keeping your mouth shut and listening for once.
I must have hit a nerve.

It's not just Trump – all the republican candidates are wrong on the issues.

Said the same shit about the best president of the 20th century, Ronald Maximus Reagan!

I oppose Trump because he has no real political backbone. No general appreciation for values of freedom, limited government and less interventionist foreign policy. He is only concerned with "the deal"..

But specifically -- I can not believe (and no one has ever asked him that I know of) --- how he's gonna put his $10B enterprise into a Blind Trust and walk away from it for 4 or (holyshit) 8 years. Y'all know he won't do that. He'll wake up the WH one morning and hear Megan Kelly cheerfully talking about a Trump Enterprise disaster about to happen and will be UNABLE to not jump a copter and go fire folks..

He is NOT gonna make folks happy with his dictatorial ways of fixing things. As witnessed by the "anchor baby" statements. NOBODY really wants to change offering US citizenship to the ANCHOR --- but MOST don't want that to be a free ticket for the FAMILY to be here. Family is welcomed to leave with their new little US citizen and when that kid turns 18 -- send her/him back..

Guy is a salesman. A P. T. Barnum that knows how to grab the spotlight..
