Ex-conservative brutally blasts Trump as worst president in U.S. history

Until this month, House Republicans referred to information provided by a “highly credible” FBI informant as the core of their case to impeach President Biden. This week, they quietly deleted any mention of that source from official documents. This one small move speaks volumes about an ill-founded GOP crusade that seems finally to be reaching an embarrassing denouement.

You're such an idiot to be defending Trump but wanting Biden impeached. LOL
Almost for certain the informant was framed or set up. Republicans in Congress just don't have the balls to stand up for the guy for fear of being accused of helping a Russian - a Russian that has helped the United States, oh yes - he did it for money, but he did it at the risk of his own life. The FBI threw him under the bus to protect their hold on American politics and the gutless Republicans let them do it.

Nope. Biden is a criminal. Trump as broken no laws.
Saint Donald. No human in 2000 years has undergone the scrutiny and investigations that Saint Donald has gone through and have never been found guilty of anything. This in a world where they say every American can be convicted of a felony at any time. How can a man that perfect not be Sainted?

People crossing the border seeking asylum aren't illegal aliens stupid.
Yes they are illegal aliens. According to US law, crossing the border at any place other than a border station is a misdemeanor on first offense with a possible 6 month incarceration. A second offense is a felony and can get you two years.

It is also against international law which recognizes that an asylum seeker must seek asylum in the first country they come to. Since Mexico and Canada are both allies and not shitholes according to the Democrats then no one other than a Mexican or Canadian can cross our border, even at an established border station, to seek asylum.

Many of us want to put our nation in first place in the world and make damn sure it stays there. We don’t want to apologize to everybody for our success like Obama did.

While our nation is far from perfect it is a hell of a lot better than almost all other nations. We also can improve and become a better nation to live in.

We can once again become the absolute best place to live in the world. Our nation can be truly GREAT once again. Plus it can be great for all races and genders. People can gain true equality and everybody can have a fair chance to succeed. Of course we have a lot of work to do to reach that high level of success but we can do it with good leadership. One thing that would help is to reduce the level of corruption in our government.

One thing we can learn from Joe Biden’s open Mexican Border is that people from all over the world are willing to come to our nation hoping for a better life. They see our nation as a land of opportunity and look forward to enjoying the freedoms we have. Right now we might not be the best place to live but we are close.

I used to think being first, being the great nation we were seen as at the end of both world wars was a good goal. Now I don't care about that, not even a bit. I care about our liberty and following our Constitution. I care about disbanding the bulk of the standing army, keeping only our strategic defense forces such as nuclear forces, space force, and whatever is needed to support them - and giving those all out support.

There are two main reasons the Founders despised the idea of a standing army: one was the treatment of the Colonists by the King's army in the colonies - a thing we've simply replaced the Red Coat with a blue-coated policeman today but, still, it is someone who has one job and that is to protect the Government and subdue the people. The second reason they despised standing armies is that having a standing army always leads to foreign intrigue that would be avoided simply by not having such an army.

The Government, of course, found reasons to maintain the standing army almost from the very day the Constitution was ratified. Some of the Federalists may even have had that secret design in the things they fought for in the Constitution.

But what I want for our future and from our Government, is simply to stay out of our lives. Manage the collective defense of the nation. Build some interstate roads to support that first task. Run a posts office. Set standards in arms so that all of the state militias and the People have the right weapons and training for when they are called to service. Stay out of law enforcement. Get rid of the FBI, the ATF, every other armed officer of the law other than the Marshall Service and the Secret Service, returning the enforcement of Federal law back to the States and, when the States fail to keep up, to the Militia.

I used to think also that the Federal Government should get wholly out of education at all levels but the craziness we're going through now with Biden and a weak military made me realize that the Federal Government needs to establish education standards for the States to make sure the militia and those few retained land-based military groups have a pool of people who have the education to be able to understand working with the modern technology our military needs today.

That doesn't lead us to being the greatest nation on earth - at least not militarily and economically. Who cares? I want us to be the greatest nation on earth from a freedom perspective.

In our modern world I believe we must maintain a strong national military. There is a lot of truth to the old adage, “The best defense is a strong offense.”

That being said I am not fond of dirty little wars in far off places to make profit for our military industrial complex, fun and games for our alphabet intelligence agencies and corruption allowing unethical people to gain considerable wealth.

I firmly believe that the further the ruling government is from the people it rules, the more inefficient it becomes. One size fits all doesn’t work in as diverse a nation as the United States. I prefer states solve local problems as that allows up up to 50 states experimenting with different approaches. If one plan works then other states can adapt their version of it.

An all powerful national government would be inefficient and corrupt and we indeed we see inefficiency and corruption in the D.C. Swamp today.

What makes our nation so different is the freedoms we enjoy. We must be willing to resist to keep those freedoms from those who wish to change our government to a Marxist socialist type rather than the cuddly capitalistic one we currently have.

Some of the strongest defenders of the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment have advanced degrees in History. There are historians and there are those who claim to be historians. One might have a legitimate PhD in History but might be a political activist and not a historian at all. \

I wouldn't trash historians as a group. There are far too many good ones for that.
All the history professors where I went to school were communists.

A well regulated militia would be the strongest national military in the world and is all we need in ground forces during peacetime - that is when we're not being actively invaded. Even in the current invasion, the militias can easily handle the numbers coming in considering that they're unarmed.

As for other defenses, I did say, based on the world as we know it today, we should keep the space force and the nuclear forces for those fast responses to attacks from those same forces in our enemies.

Not all PhDs are professors. And I know some professors who are at least RINOs if not full-on conservatives. I probably know some if I think about it who are actual conservatives.

Interesting concept.

Of course the military industrial complex woulld oppose it.

Trump was indeed the worst president ever. On top of that, the most corrupt. As a country we must Wake up.

Ex-conservative brutally blasts Trump as worst president in U.S. history

Donald Trump's efforts to arouse hate and undermine elections make him the worst president in U.S. history, according to a Washington Post columnist.

Jennifer Rubin, a self-described ex-conservative, writes that the 45th president and his MAGA mantra pines to return to a golden age back in time.

"Wielding nostalgia for a bygone era — one that is invariably mischaracterized — is a favorite weapon for fascist movements (Make America Great Again), harking back to a time before their nation was “polluted” by malign forces," she writes.

But Rubin contends too may are experiencing selective amnesia, propping up the good and erasing the bad of the 1950s, an era to which conservatives would like to see the nation return.

"What we have not had before is a president who rejected democracy, attempted to retain power by force and wound up indicted on 91 criminal counts," according to Rubin. "So yes, four-times-indicted Donald Trump was worse than every president who preceded him.

Fkaeo Black that cares only to attack, no solutions, no compromise, no seeking the Truth, just a fakeo masquerading as a Black.

Fake Black here never even sees that ex-Conservative must mean that this is a difference over principles and why should this person abe more honest because an EX-anything? Dummie, you shame yourself with your publication of your gullibility

Man, fuck you. You guys have no proof of any crime bt Joe Biden, no proof of a stolen electioon but you swear both happened and yyet you want us to show you proof of everything. The mf stood behind a podium teling his supporters the election was stolen, they were losing their country, they must fight and to go to the capital and he would go with them. That's proof.
This coward hiding in the dark should be ignored. We know Biden is crooked. ANd we know the son is a druggie who like his father doesn't even acknowledge his own child. Biden says he is Catholic, well the Bible says

1 Timothy 5:8 New Century Version (NCV)Whoever does not care for his own relatives, especially his own family members, has turned against the faith and is worse than someone who does not believe in God.
