How about this.

Presidential elections.

1992 Democrats get 5.8 million more votes
1996 democrats get 8.3 million more votes
2000 Democrats get 500,000 more votes
2004 Republicans get 3 million more votes
2008 Democrats get 9.5 million more votes
2012 Democrats get 5 million more votes
2016 Democrats get 2.9 million more votes.

In other worse, Democrats have gained the popular vote in all but one of the elections, that's 85.7% of the elections they've gained the popular vote and gained only 50% of the presidents.

Democrats need to get more than 3 million votes MORE than Republicans to win the election, Republicans need to only gained 3 million votes LESS to win the election.

And you're talking about a few votes that are bad that don't make much of a difference in an election when the whole damn system is corrupt.


To explain it in another way, with both Democrats AND Republicans being the corrupt ones.

In Germany they have both FPTP (The way the US elects people) and PR which is the popular vote wins.

Under that system the largest two parties gained 10% more of the votes under FPTP in 2013 and 8% more of the votes in 2017.

In other words. In 2013 10% of the people decided to change their vote from the US styles system to the PR style system.

FPTP is negative voting. Lots of parties lose out because people will often vote for who they DON'T WANT TO SEE IN POWER. Whereas PR allows people to vote for who they want to see represent them.

The US system is corrupt, what you're going on about is something very minor, what I'm talking about is something very major.

Maybe her EPA sec could have a 50 person security detail.
Maybe she would pay a reality TV figure $200K to do nothing except plan her wedding.
