The article is very vague, just citing some unspecified violations of EU “laws”.
What I get out of the article is a cautionary tale, of what happens when a nation gives up its sovereignty to a foreign power, and lets that power impose its own laws, in violation of the will of the people of that nation.
It is, of course, no surprise at all to see Tainted Tommy openly siding with the unaccountable foreign tyranny, and against the citizens of these nations that ought to have preserved their sovereignty and their ability to represent the will of their citizens. He is, after all, opposed to the movement in his own nation to free itself from exactly the same abuse; and has shown that he doesn't get why my nation, the U.S., fought a major war almost two and a half centuries ago to free itself from similar abuse perpetrated against us by his nation.
So let me get this straight. Poland and Hungary are rolling back press freedoms, the independence of the judiciary, and the EU is saying, that doesn't comport with the values of the EU, and they are the bad ones here?
Really?
When did the Poles and Hungarians vote for more tyrannical governments... I'm guessing they didn't.
