If all Americans, Republicans, Democrats or whatever, joined the communist party, Americans would own the party and no longer have to live in stark terror. I know some Americans have been living under the bed in fear since Social Security was passed. Anyway with America owning the party we could all rest easier.
I wonder if we would have to pay dues?

Communism is an opposing political philosophy that would mean the end of our current system of government. It's what obama wants to do. Complete centralized control.

Ah, reggie....

...if only you know more about history.

1. Communism lost a number of formerly inveterate supporters, not as a result of the Moscow Show Trials, which were almost as hidden as the starvation of the Ukrainian farmers…but due to the crimes of the Communists in Spain. Arthur Koestler and George Orwell both grasped that every move was intended simply to secure an absolute Stalinist hegemony…right down to Stalin finding an accommodation with Hitler.

2. Koestler resigned from the German Communist Party on April 22, 1938. At that point he was a non-Communist, not an anti-Communist.

a. “The God That Failed" is a 1949 book which collects together six essays with the testimonies of a number of famous ex-communists, who were writers and journalists. The common theme of the essays is the authors' disillusionment with and abandonment of communism….The six contributors were Louis Fischer, André Gide, Arthur Koestler, Ignazio Silone, Stephen Spender, andRichard Wright.” The God that Failed - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

3. In “Darkness at Noon,” published in 1940, Koestler writes about the 1938 Moscow Show Trials. This, from the novel:

“There are only two conceptions of human ethics, and they are at opposite poles. One of them is Christian and humane, declares the individual to be sacrosanct, and asserts that the rules of arithmetic are not to be applied to human units. The other starts from the basic principle that a collective aim justifies all means, and not only allows, but demands, that the individual should in every way be subordinated and sacrificed to the community which may dispose of it as an experimentation rabbit or a sacrificial lamb. The first conception could be called anti-vivisection morality, the second, vivisection morality. Humbugs and dilettantes have always tried to mix the two conceptions; in practice, it is impossible. Whoever is burdened with power and responsibility finds out on the first occasion that he has to choose; and he is fatally driven to the second al¬ternative.” (p. 157)

Now, if one applies that paragraph to the American political landscape, we see one party that supports "the basic principle that a collective aim justifies all means, and not only allows, but demands, that the individual should in every way be subordinated and sacrificed to the community which may dispose of it as an experimentation rabbit or a sacrificial lamb. "

Guess which one?

So...why the effort to join the Communist party?

Yeah, yeah, so you think we would have to pay dues or not?

If you're not contributing now, why would you think that would change if we were communists?

The whole, 'to each according to need, from each according to ability' idea simply causes people to become needy when they realize they'll be used and abused otherwise.

The Communist Party here has been totally irrelevent and moribund for decades. ONLY THE DUPES CARE- RIDICULOUS PEOPLE...

Holy smokes, you mean McCarthy did that much damage...:eusa_shifty:

Hell, it is you 'Conservatives' that are hiding under the bed and wailing 'commie, commie' everytime somebody with ideas more recent than 1800 enters the political discourse.

We're anything but afraid for ourselves. We're afraid for the weak..... IOW, you and people like you.

In any system, under any government we'll rise to the top. Always have always will.

We'll still be the Engineers, the leaders and the seers that ever society needs.

You? You'll just be Prols.

So don't think we're fighting collectivism for ourselves. We're not. I'm telling you straight up... We'll be fine.

We don't want what will happen to you and yours to happen.

As to the 1800 stupidity? Funny stuff. That's not it, it's that -- Well, Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, your stupid system has EVER BEEN TRIED?

It's failed. Every time.

Out of over 100 attempts? Failure. Every.Single.Time.

Our way?

Success. Every single time.

Did you know, that in the 2,500 years since democracy was first invented, there has not been a single War -- EVER -- Between two democracies?

Not one.

Your way? It's all you fucking morons do.

You kill Monarchists, you kill Capitalists, you kill democrats and republicans, you kill each other, you commit genocides and holodomors, you wipe out entire races of people....

You're a disease, not a political philosophy and if it weren't for our Constitution, there'd be a bounty on you.

I get a chuckle out of our Progressive friends trying to implement a system so fucking horrible and dehumanizing that it can only be enforced and gunpoint and they have to build walls not to keep people out but to keep people from fleeing.

My one consolation is that if the USA ever fully turns that way the progressives and other useful idiots will be the first layer of fertilizer in the mass graves

The communist party of America is called now Democratic party :D

They will. It happens every single time some new old scoundrels are imposin their utopian tyranny in order to make everybody happy - the masters know what YOU need. And every single time the sheeple slaughtered can' fathom "why ME !?i supported the hope and change?!?"

They can't grasp the reality - the tyranny is getting rid of the believing sheeple immediately because they know that's a ballast :D
