Elon puts progressive Stephen King in his place

Im sure people who give a lot of money to churches really want to believe that.
When churches publish their budgets internally, it's very easy for members to see how much money is going to which initiatives. Something tells me that most of the complaining about churches is being done by people who have not been in one for a very long time, have never been in one, or who paid no attention to such things when they were. IOW, first hand experience trumps third hand evidence every time.

Yes, because it's true. You wouldn't know, because you don't give money to anyone or anything, except probably Planned Parenthood so they can kill more black babies.
Oh please. I grew up in a church that constantly begged, pressured and shamed people to donate.

That money went for renovations to the priest’s house, a new car, his goddamn housekeeper. The church needed new carpet. The bookkeeper needed to be paid. The parking lot was full of holes. We needed to build a new bell tower for no reason.

Now I give money that actually helps people.

My link shows that 95% of the money coming into a church stays in the walls of said church.
haha well not really

but guess what else has overhead? all charitable organizations….from Mercy House, to the Ronald McDonald House and on down

You got scammed because you're not intelligent.

All I hear are a lot of self-serving assertions from church goers with no substantiation.

You just repeated the fallacy, where you define paying dues to your own social club as charitable giving.

---
Republicans and Democrats give roughly equal amounts to religious organisations aside from their own congregations, and we also find some evidence that Democrats donate more to non-religious organisations than Republicans. In other words, the baseline difference in charitable giving emerges because Republicans are more religious than Democrats, and religious people donate generously to their religious congregations.

Understand that Brooks just makes nonsense up, including his blood statistics, by fudging the question of what defines liberals and conservatives. This paper talks about how.

You got a major hate-tingle out of that, didn't you?

Turn back from the path of hatred that you've chosen.
haha some dembot said if you take away charities we don’t like, then we are all the same

haha

And, of course, your single anecdotal experience trumps the reality experienced by millions. Of course. Every church I've been a part of has programs to aid the local poor, to help churches around the globe, etc. etc. and they all made their budgets freely available so everyone could see how much went to salaries, upkeep, missions, charity work, etc. Did you ever bother to get your church's budget in writing so you could see reality, or did you just resent the fundraising? I mean, how many potholes in the parking lot is enough to justify filling them in?

The Bible has much condemnation for charlatans and false prophets. Many liars and cheaters have claimed to be Christian when their goal is personal gain. But that has no bearing on the fact that Christians give to charity at a FAR higher rate than Atheist Liberals do and that Democrat freeloaders are the recipients of those charitable donations.

by cool kids you mean the ones strung out on dope and suffering from an std...right
Prime example is Trump's desperation to be accepted by the same people he now pretends to hate.....the New York elite and the main stream media........

No grown man will pretend to be someone else in order to build up an image and be accepted by these people.....

Remember when you folks demonized celebrities and their political opinions and told them to just shut up and perform?

Unless of course, those celebs had opinions that matched yours....then those celebs were elevated, no matter how irrelevant they were..like yall really treated Scott Baio like he was an Academy Award winner......or Ted Nugent like he was a 30 time Grammy nominee.....when they were just irrelevant...

Remember when you whined and complained about Obama's celebrity status and how his rallies attracted 10s of thousands? And then immediately started worshipping Trump for doing the same..who by definition was a celebrity...

So yes, he craved to be accepted by the people who rejected him and therefore, settled for being praised by you.....

All I hear are a lot of self-serving assertions from church goers with no substantiation.
And what are we hearing from you? A lot of self-serving assertions from an anti-church-goer with no substantiation. I've been a part of several churches over the years, and it sounds like you've only been in one. That gives my assertions more weight than yours.

You would have to be willfully blind to miss the charity work churches are doing.

These are good stats to analyze and develop.
The bias is seen for giving to non-profits linked to religion. This exposes the fundamental Constitutional pathology: freedom of religion is not the same thing as freedom from religion. Thus heretics get no funding. This needs to change at the (real estate level[italics]).

Additionally, Brooks et al, uses terms very much akin to terms used for the interplay of sociographic prudery vs. anthropomorphic promiscuity. Freudian anal retention vs. liberal giving. The X-Y graph of this interplay can be found in Shults, Iconoclastic Theology: Gilles Deleuze and the Secretion of Atheism.

"Tung back from your harshness to heretics, Grasshopper. Your U.S. Constitution has already seriously molested asterisks and prepositions."

But the Obama's celebrity status was based on duping Cleveland voters, because O is and was an Arab son fronting as a black to get into the WH.

The church I grew up in didn't have paid staff, not even pastors. My own grandfather was a pastor and deacon over multiple congregations, and supported himself and his family by raising chickens. Yeah, they spend a great deal of the money they receive on charity. Heck, they even set up their own medical cost sharing program that allowed 5th grade educated sawmill operators to afford things like hip replacements, and it's still going strong today. So, your complaints ring hollow. What you need to do is get out into the country and attend some of these little churches out here to see how it really works when people aren't as selfish as you're accustomed to them being.

The Bible has much condemnation for charlatans and false prophets.
WOW.............that helps..........A LOT.
Many liars and cheaters have claimed to be Christian when their goal is personal gain. But that has no bearing on the fact that Christians give to charity at a FAR higher rate than Atheist Liberals do.
That is only to get more gullible people to give the church, more $$$.
and that Democrat freeloaders are the recipients of those charitable donations.
Churches have been Right Wing for decades, they "give" to their own...........and steal from their own.
Like Trump.

Transmuting donation money into Chinese fentanyl or counterfeit may never be proven, though property ownerships of the future will not rely as heavily on such donations because the charity population will dwindle as the property ownership population swells.

Yes, a 666 buy-sell-trade. Kuklos exothen. All outside the protection-racket mafia circle will be made sacred and (taboo [italics]) at the same time. Like the Chappaqua Blue Racer has been CIA, we now think that Trump has joined her club so he can be Biden's surrogate if CIA puppet JoeXi loses 2024.
