Don't Buy This Crazy Product

Having a GPS app on your phone is about as common as it gets. Having them up on the dashboard means it is more of a head-up display.

I am sure there are some who use these things for texting or watching videos. But most simply have the GPS app on display or use them as a handsfree cell phone holder for making phone calls (does anyone use a cell phone for phone calls anymore). I am far more worried about handsfree cell phone calls than about the GPS use.
I'm worried about ANY use of a cellphone or touchscreen WHILE DRIVING. ABC news reporter reporting about dashboard touchscreens and demonstrating one, said "Look how long my eyes are off the road" He said it with a tone of alarm.

Over time, these things may get more people killed than jihadist Muslims. Just my opinion, but I'd say there shouldn't be anything to look at for car drivers other then the speedometer, gauges, and the road.

Yeah, you can drive all over, just to prove you are a manly man. I prefer going precisely where I need to go and getting there as quickly as possible.

BTW, having that map or mapbook out on the passenger seat is no distraction, I'm sure.
Not at all, if you're PARKED while looking at it. (or the cell phone) (or the touchscreen)

I can't believe that the OP is such a mean guy he doesn't want drivers to get blow jobs while watching porn while driving..It gets really boring driving...
In your case, I can believe you can't believe.

I could use a phone holder for when use the directions app (gps).
You could pull over and look at that. In the meantime (while driving), phone could be in your pocket.

If the gps is mounted correctly, it takes only a fraction of a second (a blink of the eye) to look at it to verify that you are on course. Also, the unit will give verbal instructions when near a turn off. It's similar to glancing at the speedometer to verify the speed of the car and the distance traveled on the trip.

I also from time to time change there radio station on my radio. I don't usually pull over to do that.

Yes, speedometer takes a second. Looking at gps can sometimes take only a fraction of a second. Other times, the look may be more complicated. At first, you think it will just be a second, then it's another second (you think that will be it), turns out to be more complicated than you first thought. 2 more seconds......BANG!

I still say no screens in driver area. Should be illegal.
