Does it ever make sense to take a full day off to go to the doctor or dentist?

I always thought that someone would put in for a half of day in the morning or afternoon so they can go to the doctor or dentist. Why would I want to go to a doctor when I have the whole day off? Isn't it better to leave work early or come to work later after a dentist or doctor appt?

I schedule my doctor or dentist appt for 10am so I can get some extra sleep and then be at work by 1pm. My day off is for me to do whatever not to be in the waiting room of a doctor's office

I take the entire day off so I could take the receptionist out to lunch.

That's because you are a fool.
Why a fool Mr. Mongo?

Because if you are OFF a full day u are not supposed to be in a doctor's office

It's for doing what YOU want to do
If the girl I am taking out to lunch works for the dr office then I am on an appointment with dr office staff. That is entirely within the bounds of a dr visit.

I never did.... rather save it for something fun.
But if you have nothing fun to do, may as well.....
