...even know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?

Sure doesn't seem like it.

C'mon, one of you prove me wrong. I dare you.

Now, go ahead and say "They're all Gubmint handouts to people who don't work."

See how stupid you sound?

Try again.

Dear Matthew
If they aren't govt handouts, if they don't rely on "other people's money"
then the Democrats should be able to separate their members contributions in a pool for fellow
Democrats to manage and distribute under pro-choice/marriage equality policies,
while the Republicans can separately manage and distribute their members' benefits in a pool
that is presumably pro-life and pro-veteran.

To make it fair, let ALL parties (Socialist, Greens, Libertarians) each manage their own registered members' resources.

That should work just fine if people only use what they pay in.

So if Republicans want to gamble on free market checks, they can have that.
If that system goes under, only Republicans are affected who elected to be under a free market/private sector system.

Isn't that fair? To let people choose either the Socialistic or Capitalistic system that matches their beliefs?

If people only get money they pay in, this should work, right?

So it's not quite clear whether you know the difference between Medicaid and Medicare, but you certainly don't seem to value "smaller government."

Wouldnt it reduce the social programs through federal.govt to shift them to states and parties to manage democratically on a local level. If people are the govt then why not pass more responsibilities back to the ppl, and keep.govt laws for areas agreed on

Ideally, yes. But are "the people" actually the people in the individual states or are they, as it seems to be in terms of healthcare, the legislators who condescend to decide what their constituents want?

Does your state representative reflect what the people in his/her district want or just what the wealthy campaign contributors demand? Go to your representative's website and have a look at their legislative record. You may be surprised.

I believe you have an unrealistically low opinion of other people. I am convinced that millions, perhaps tens of millions of people in the group you described know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. I certainly know the difference, but I have nothing to prove to you. I stopped taking tests after 9 years of college (MBA and JD). Besides your test is pointless given the fact that an average reader would be able to Google the correct answer in a minute or two.

Actually, I am one of the lucky ones. I am 76 years old and covered by both private insurance (BC & BS) and the VA. Since I am in the VA system my private insurance is not affected by the insanity called Obamacare. The VA, working with my private insurance, covers all my healthcare costs with the exception of prescription copays (I have to pay $8 for each 30-day supply). My total health care costs – including insurance – costs me a tad over $2,100 a year. I'm happy with that. I have no use for Medicare but I do have Part-A because it was free.

^My apologies. I meant the very small sample size in this forum of people whose sole "understanding" is "Obamacare is a trainwreck...we need to vote him out of office." Um, yeah, you guys do know he can't run for a third term, right? They don't even seem to know that. Obviously people out here in the Real World are smarter. I'm just amazed at the concentration of ignorance in this forum.

Wow. Sure got quiet in here. So because the Stupids don't know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid, they've all put the n00b on Ignore. Good. From now on I can talk to the adults without having to step over the drooling rugrats.

Someone needs to read the other threads in this forum before he adds to the Stupid.

Maybe if you sound out the words, they'll make sense to you. Try.

Kinda tough given how much you've already left.

You keep making stuff up to argue against because you don't seem to capable at taking on the arguments at hand.

When you are ready to stop behaving like a third-grader.....I'll be all ears.

Link to something that you feel I've "made up."

So which of those quotes do you feel I've "made up"?
