I watched the main speakers last week.

I watched most of Warren, Sanders, a bit of Bill, heard some of Biden's this week. Will watch Clinton's tonight.

At least until she starts shrieking, then off she goes.

Good for you, billy. At least you are informed. BTW, I was never much enthused by Sanders. I'm too skeptical anymore. But he started something akin IMHO to the JFK enthusiastic appeal that I was once an eager part of. So when his movement is acknowledged by the convention, I am proud that all those pumped up kids dream the same dreams we once did. May they never lose that hope for a brighter America.

Being a virulent anti-Communist, JFK would have dragged Bernie Sanders into an alley and beaten him with a rubber hose.

Russia prostituted socialism. Kibbutz are socialist, Navajos are socialists, ancient Essenes were socialists. It doesn't work for everyone, including me, but Russia turned the word to crud and offered no choices. It's OK to reject the idea, I have. But once in a while, crawl out of that box you live in, look around and take a deep breath, if it isn't too toxic by then!

I'm a Capitalist. What I earn, make, build or otherwise create is mine to do with as I please. The government has no right other than at the barrel of a gun to take any of it from me and give it to another individual's benefit. Period. Any charitable use is for me and me alone to decide.

And don't come back with infrastructure and municipal public services as socialism. Those serve the entire community, not specific special charitable interests, and are not socialism.

Just to clarify, you aren't objecting to taxes are you..Fed/State/Local?

Taxes benefiting all, within constitutional mandates limiting the scope and authority of government, no. Tax revenue procured to forward a particular ideology or charity outside the scope of government authority, yes.

This applies to both sides of the aisle.
