Democrats Applauding Democrats

The days of liberal infiltration into the Republican Party are over.....GOP'ers like Boss are doomed to insignificance.....

Didn't watch it, but lost a bit more respect for Romney and Graham

Hey, will. Did you watch the Republican convention last week? I watched nearly all of it, and literally wanted to slap the crap out of Christie. But I knew this week's convention would be just as hyperbolic, and just as stirring to me as last week's was disgusting. I swear, every time Trump opens his mouth I go ballistic, much as I want to be a calm observer. This is yet another election where I vote emphatically against instead of enthusiastically for. sigh

Nope

Heard enough here to find out what went on, and was glad I have Netflix

Morning, billy! How sour are thy grapes! BTW, did you watch? Being there, via TV, gave it a little more oomph.

Sour grapes? I called them RINOs from the beginning. Any support from me was the result of their each being the lesser of two evils.

No, I didn't watch. Had no reason to do so.
But did you..and you too will...did you watch last week?

I watched the main speakers last week.

I watched most of Warren, Sanders, a bit of Bill, heard some of Biden's this week. Will watch Clinton's tonight.

At least until she starts shrieking, then off she goes.

Good for you, billy. At least you are informed. BTW, I was never much enthused by Sanders. I'm too skeptical anymore. But he started something akin IMHO to the JFK enthusiastic appeal that I was once an eager part of. So when his movement is acknowledged by the convention, I am proud that all those pumped up kids dream the same dreams we once did. May they never lose that hope for a brighter America.

Being a virulent anti-Communist, JFK would have dragged Bernie Sanders into an alley and beaten him with a rubber hose.

Russia prostituted socialism. Kibbutz are socialist, Navajos are socialists, ancient Essenes were socialists. It doesn't work for everyone, including me, but Russia turned the word to crud and offered no choices. It's OK to reject the idea, I have. But once in a while, crawl out of that box you live in, look around and take a deep breath, if it isn't too toxic by then!

DEMOCRATS CHEERING DEMOCRATS

*See the thread about how the DNC was / is paying people to come in and cheer at the convention, booting Bernie supporters out of their seats and replacing them with these paid cheerleaders.....

I'm a Capitalist. What I earn, make, build or otherwise create is mine to do with as I please. The government has no right other than at the barrel of a gun to take any of it from me and give it to another individual's benefit. Period. Any charitable use is for me and me alone to decide.

And don't come back with infrastructure and municipal public services as socialism. Those serve the entire community, not specific special charitable interests, and are not socialism.

You're spot on dude. JFK was more conservative than anybody the Reps put up. When he was done kicking the shit out of Bernster her would have slapped the pantsuit bulldyke around too.
