Could be because of the policies to legalize drugs all over the place to get everyone docile and depressed.

Once again the Biden administration compares very favorable to . . . the Biden administration. This is their tactic on inflation, gas prices, and other economic indicators. To show that there is an improvement over Biden's horrible first two years of destroying the economy. They set the bar that low for themselves and now brag about making it over.

Show some figures about crime in the days before the Democrats demanded the police be de-funded compared to either right now, or to the average crime rate under Biden.

Damned if it doesn't. What a low trick. I should have known to be suspicious when I saw that the result were from "in jurisdictions that reported data." Did they ask LA and CHI not to respond, or did they just forget to mail them the request?

Dallas violent crime went up? I should have guessed. On my last visit to that area, I was shocked at how blue the city had become.

As to property crime going up, while violent crime goes down, that makes sense. Since so many blue cities have decriminalized shoplifting and looting, the gangs no longer have to kill each other to hold territory for selling drugs so that they can buy jewelry, steaks and lobsters, and the latest video game console to play GTA. They can just walk into the store and pick them up, just like anyone else.

In late October, the FBI reported, “The FBI’s crime statistics estimates for 2022 show that national violent crime decreased an estimated 1.7% in 2022 compared to 2021 estimates.” As NPR pointed out, though property crime increased from 2021, data showed that “the homicide rate fell significantly last year, by slightly more than 6% compared with 2021.” Overall, violent crime, including rape and aggravated assault, also dropped from 2021.
However, we now have strong evidence the trend has continued in 2023. The FBI’s crime tracker for the first three quarters of 2023, compared with the same period in 2022, shows violent crime down 8 percent and property crime down 6 percent, NBC News reported, using analysis from criminologist Jeff Asher. Rape was down nearly 15 percent, and robbery dropped roughly 9 percent. The only exception to the positive trend was car thefts, which were up about 10 percent.
