Ben Carson would have a better chance of keeping and getting the dialogue and debate on the right track.
Bernie Sanders would not get past the anti-Socialist scare
He could run for head of Social Security Reform under the Democratic and Green Parties if they set up a separate Singlepayer system for their members to decide the rules for.
He'd be welcomed there, applauded even, but not so much for managing social programs federally for the nation when half the people are opposed to any more top down social micromanagement.
Likewise if the left could never get over Carson as a Conservative Black doctor and leader, he also might do better to work as head of a team converting the prison system into a working medical treatment and correctional program instead of the mess going on now. Maybe he could start with that, prove his leadership and run for President after he's proven his ideas work instead of Obama's path of running for office first, and then proving himself afterwards which hasn't worked too well as he's still under attack for doing things backwards.
I'd like to see jobs for all these leaders in areas where they can develop sustainable solutions and prove which reforms work before campaigning for public office.
