elimination of money. Face it, money runs our lives.
no products of pleasure. As inconvenient as that sounds, I think it would eliminate ALOT of problems a society of our advancement have manufactured. Such as laziness.


BTW people Stalin, NK and Cuba are/were NOT communist. There hasn't been a communist group since the American Indians. I guess there might be some in the jungle or something lol.

while the utopian idea of communism might be appealing, it isn't realistic. no one willingly gives up either money or power so the idea that the state would simply fall away is a fallacy as we saw in the USSR.

I wont necessarily disagree with that. However, socialism will fail. Even Marx knew that. But yes, in our history, they were all dictators. Corruption was rampant.

our industrial societies are massive. there aren't the same societal controls on behavior which would require that everyone pitch in and be equals.

but truth, even indigenous people, which lived as close to communism as we've seen, had a tribal government and leadership to which the community deferred

i think we need to separate the governmental system from the economic system when looking at the issue of dictatorial governments. the truth is that pure capitalism is abusive because of the oppression of the working classes as we saw in Dickensian England and in this country at the start of the industrial revolution.

but realistically, a system that is purely either socialist or capitalist is doomed to failure. the perfect system, IMO is one that mixes capitalism and socialism and prohibits the wealthiest from abusing the citizens and yet incentivizes achievement while also doing what great societies do... which is take care of the weakest, poorest, sickest and youngest among us.

However, one of the basic principles of communism is to delete wasteful production. Our industry would shrink massively.

probably not.... which is why I think the combination of capitalism and socialism, fine-tuned to serve our modern world, are probably the best way to manage a country....and seems to be successful elsewhere.
