I bought a Stirling Engine a couple of years ago.

It operates on temperature differential. You can fill the cup with either a hot liquid or ice cubes to make it cycle. Fun to play with and amaze the grandkids. .... :cool:


To clarify one of my images, the gear with the arrow pointing at it should have gone on the frame first, not second like in my image. I must really be a a low tech flyover country rube!

Also I put a drop of oil on each gear to lube them. Mine takes 5 quarters to properly weight it. More makes it double bump sometimes when the ball starts back, and less quarters makes it stop in mid cycle.
