Dear hotpotato
Not all Christians know about Spiritual Healing based on forgiveness.
Some denominations even Oppose it, if you can imagine that!

If this knowledge were more widespread, and once it is established by science
and medical research as common knowledge and practice, we won't have these
issues anymore.

I have heard of cases of AIDS being cured,
but it was through forgiveness and deep spiritual healing
that allowed the body to fight back and overcome the invading virus.

Based on FORGIVENESS not this hateful rhetoric that is the opposite.
Some people don't get it. it's especially conflicting when Christians don't get forgiveness!

Well, your reply doesn't help, but just keeps adding to the perception on both sides keeping people divided.

We need to use our words to talk out solutions, not blame the problems back and forth.
Both sides do that, and it doesn't solve anything, just reinforces the same.

I think one solution is to organize scientific and medical proof of Spiritual Healing.
That would do more to bring down barriers by showing that science and religion are not adverse
or in conflict. But the teachings in Christianity on forgiveness and healing follow natural laws
that apply and help people of all faiths, even atheists and people of different religions.

I have a friend who is Atheist, and just ends up fighting against Conservatives and Christians because he can't stand their personas!

He actually AGREES with the right in opposition to the health care mess and insurance crap that is bogus: he hates that and does not want to be required to buy insurance under that mess.

But he will not acknowledge or stand with the rightwing to oppose what he is equally against.

He will let them fight those battles, while attacking them for being hateful.

So it seems everyone HATES these pit bulls, but we will let them fight like dogs when it benefits us.

Not everyone responds to that presentation of the law.

some people respond to science, so we should use science if that is someone's language.

If we start enforcing one religious set of laws over others,
then we get into Constitutional and equality debates about respecting equal religious freedom.

Why not work with each person or group by their own systems
and arrive at the same conclusions and agreements anyway?

But it does not have to be by the Bible if that's not their language.
They can use something else as long as we agree consistently on the policy or principle.

No, I don't think this kind of inflaming and inciting is sustainable.

I think we should use internet forums to compile longterm solutions, organizing by groups teams and parties,
to tackle these issues and address multiple facets instead of polarizing and lumping issues
into black/white, prolife/prochoice, pro/anti.

We could host ongoing Constitutional conventions and conferences/consortiums
and use all these same resources and efforts to hammer out real-life solutions,
to present to our party and govt leaders to enact, instead of hammering in someone's head!

If he had just said Jesus loves all the little children no one outside the congregation would have ever heard of him. Now he has national coverage. Do you think that is a coincidence?

If people have Political Beliefs, such as "health care is a right through govt" or "prolife should be protected for unborn equally as for other persons"

Then they have the right to build their systems and parties around that, and represent their beliefs that way.

Where the line is drawn is NOT embedding or mandating this in public policy, because that affects al other citizens and groups.

But it is perfectly fine for the Catholics to have their own Pope, the Democrats to have their leaders,
the Greens to have theirs. Just don't take your political religion and impose it on any other group. Keep it within
your membership that agrees to that. I have no problem with that, in fact, I think it would STOP imposition
in public if groups DID have systems of governing themselves by their own policies and not impose on anyone else!

Discernment would find out the lie in the title. No where in the Bible does God demand that all gays be killed. Dismiss the person that says so.
And don't pretend that Christian Compassion is nullified because of that person. At best he is the head of a local misguided church, and not a threat to the foundation of Christianity, mercy. Stop trying to make him the poster child for Christianity or compassion.
