If we have intel on Kim-Un's electronic communications and dwellings, we could drop a dozen MOABs on his skanky ass and settle it like that.

Mattis is not going to start a shooting war when NK has over a thousand artillery pieces all ready dialed in on Seoul and it's 50million people. And that's not to mention what they might have aimed at Japan.

This is aimed at pressuring China. China does not want NK refugees, and it really doesn't want a shooting war in it's back yard. The communist party (which is actually not communist in economic terms) is only legitimate if it continues economic progress, and China is struggling with lack of growth for the masses and increasing wealth disparity

But NK military folks have much to fear from SK. If NK folds, they lose all their privilege. So far KimBongWongIII has held on by executing generals with cannons. Perhaps the military can have a option besides KimBongWongIII and SK's economy.

Well, if memory serves, Trump said he was going to give the military back to the military. So if they've been frustrated for the last X years, I guess we'll find out what they can do.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi said if war occurred there could be no winner.

Mr Wang's comments come as the US voices increasing concern at North Korea's development of nuclear weapons and deploys a Navy carrier group off the Korean peninsula.

I don't know about an external attack. But yeah, it's a symbiotic relationship between the crazy fat kid and NK military. The question is whether the NK military can be convinced that the US or SK isn't going to attack them even if they are non-nukler, and whether they can keep their social positions w/o the fat kid around.

The reality is that NK's nuclear capability will have to be taken out...soon. There are only 3 options:

1. NK does it voluntarily.
2. US plus allies take it out.
3. China takes it out.

Having China do it is the most attractive option since NK will not do so voluntarily. China annexes the rogue neighbor on its border thus stabilizing the region and the world. China demilitarizes NK and thus creates a buffer zone between its borders and the capitalist west.

It's the only clean solution and if we are smart, we will cut a deal with China and assist them in doing this.

We are not going to voluntarily initiate taking out Seoul. There will either be some internal solution, probably caused by Jina, a continuation of games or the crazy fat kid does something crazy and SK and the US turn the place into a cinder .... with SK casualties ranging from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions.

China should be told to deal with the North Korean situation, it's not going to be a good idea for outside forces from The West to get involved in a military capacity, that can only make things in Asia worse.

Why should China deal with North Korea? NK is not threatening them? Considering the Trump administration's attitude toward China, they have every reason to let the great deal maker deal with North Korea. As Trump has said, "no one is better at deal making than I am."
