China Fears North Korea US Conflict At Any Moment

China should be told to deal with the North Korean situation, it's not going to be a good idea for outside forces from The West to get involved in a military capacity, that can only make things in Asia worse.
I wonder if it's possible that the influence we've heard China has over NK has been overstated.
.

It's possible, I suppose within the next 24 hours we'll be able to determine if China does have that influence, China has cut the coal supply to North Korea, they could up the ante by saying they'll put their own sanctions on North Korea.
Yeah. And it would be interesting to know what's going on in back channels with us and China on this. Surely some communication is happening.
.

My own personal opinion is that I don't think America should drop some bomb on North Korea. I think everyone should wait and see what happens tomorrow, Kim Jong-Un has said they're going to test some nuclear weapon on "The Day of The Sun", which is the most important North Korean Public Holiday that commemorates his Grandfather Kim-Il Sung.

Day of the Sun - Wikipedia

We should keep in mind, each time North Korea has tested some sort of missile, it's not exactly been successful.

So I think everyone should wait and see and then after tomorrow, say on Sunday or Monday China should tell Kim-Jong-Un that they're putting sanctions on North Korea.

North Korea cannot survive internally without the assistance of China, there will be an internal collapse of the whole internal structure and with that the probability of Kim-Jong-Un being overthrown from within....of course that leads me back to my earlier comment, who would replace him, most of the hierarchy are as crazed as he is.

The ultimate ideal situation would be to bring about the reunification of North Korea and South Korea as Korea.
Yeah, if there is some kind of covert, guerilla strategy in place to get rid of the fat kid, that's fine. But he may actually be nuts, and that puts South Korea and Japan at great risk if we start blowing shit up.. I hope they're in this conversation, too.

"But he may actually be nuts, and that puts South Korea and Japan at great risk if we start blowing shit up.."

Exactly, which is why I don't think America should drop some bomb on North Korea, it's unlikely to take out Kim Jong-Un and then he'd become even more psychotic and then yes, South Korea and Japan would be at great risk.

"I hope they're in this conversation, too."

I think they'd have to be, both are directly within the firing range of North Korea.

I have a feeling that there will be a war with 24 hrs. I also believe that the Pentagon has thoroughly thought this through and has more than a few surprises for N. Korea. This will probably be the shortest war in history.
I hope you are right.

At this point there are several different possibilities of course.

We'll need to wait and see what really happens.

I am guessing that Trump will order a missile strike in response to any further provocations by fat boy Kim in N.Korea.

S.Korea, Japan, AND China.

Looks like China is getting ready for it.

"S.Korea, Japan, AND China."

North Korea wouldn't do something to China, it's South Korea and Japan that North Korea would like to do something to.

China wants Kim replaced but not reunification. that would be where worlds collide.
You are exactly right MeatheadSo China is to blame that fat boy Kim is still in power and still provoking S.Korea, Japan, and the USA.
That's definitely the way it seems, but they seem surprisingly impotent right now, at least from the outside.

Is an underground nuclear test a "provocation?"

Barry liked to ride a bike that is way too small, wear a helmet, and grin like a 6 year old who just accomplished something
Still wonder why murderous regimes did not worry about him?

That's a fair question, but I think it needs to be taken in context.

The fat kid has the world's superpower bearing down on him and his BFF China giving him the stink eye. What concerns me here is that he may, after all, believe his own rhetoric. I guess I've been assuming he knew better.

Not so sure now.

South Korea is in a mess at the moment, they don't even have an established leader after the Impeachment of Park Geun-hye, they have an Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn who has also been the Prime Minister since 2015, so he's both Acting President and Prime Minister, they're going to hold a Presidential Election on May 9th, so in less than a month they'll have an official President.

The front runner to win and become President is Moon Jae-in of The Minjoo Party of Korea, they're Centre-Left, he's in favour of closer ties with North Korea.

This is also why I don't think America should drop bombs on North Korea, because the South Korean Presidential Election is less than a month away.

China has warned that "conflict could break out at any moment" as tension over North Korea increases. Foreign Minister Wang Yi said if war occurred there could be no winner. Mr Wang's comments come as the US voices increasing concern at North Korea's development of nuclear weapons and deploys a Navy carrier group off the Korean peninsula. Actually China stopped buying N. Korean coal.

I think he does believe it. This shows him that he was right all along; the world is going to gang up and try to bully him into being a 98 pound weakling on the world stage. He won't have it. Years and years of negotiations with his father and with him have proved that.

Everyone is blaming him for the failed negotiations in the past decades, but it was his dad until 6 years ago. We've been in a holding pattern ever since he took over. I wonder if we are missing an opportunity to approach this from a negotiations angle. We are assuming he won't play--but do we know that if we have never tried? This might be the time to try, when he's between a rock and a hard place. We have to give him a chance to save face or it'll be war sure as shit.

I made a mistake, correction China banned the import of North Korean coal and North Korean ships carrying coal were turned away.

You know darling, even someone as obviously perfect as me sometimes makes a mistake :eusa_doh:

If we have intel on Kim-Un's electronic communications and dwellings, we could drop a dozen MOABs on his skanky ass and settle it like that.

It certainly is getting kinda sketchy.
Is Lil Kim going to blink or is he so arrogant that that he'd rather go to war than appear weak?
He is a delusional moron who grew up believing his families lies about the world.

He sees himself as a hero for his people, believe it or not.

Yeah, I'd wonder what kind of intelligence we have there...
