Was that why the Braves only won one series?...Guys like Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, Klesko, Jones, et. al. weren't mentally tough enough?As manager he must instill mental toughness in his teams.
Counsell is one of the original analytics guys....He'll likely do well no matter where he lands.

So the rumor I heard today is the Counsell hire was made in advance of the Cubs trying to land Ohtani. Maybe Ohtani is not interested in playing for the Dodgers and wants out of L.A..

he would like to play in the playoffs.....so losing teams are probably out.....Ohtani will go with whichever team pays him the most money.
he is going to get money no matter were he plays.....he wants to play in the playoffs......Money talks.

can you understand that no matter were he plays he is going to have more money than he can ever spend....but he wants to play in the playoffs....now what is that telling you?....I did and I still believe money trumps everything else.

Sure he wants to be in the playoffs but there are no guarantees.can you understand that no matter were he plays he is going to have more money than he can ever spend....but he wants to play in the playoffs....now what is that telling you?....
i think he has better chance signing with a winning team than a losing one....Sure he wants to be in the playoffs but there are no guarantees.
look he would sign with Texas over KC.....Not neccessarily.
