"Change", We Should Not Have Believed In..

Obama is the great illusionist.

He makes David Copperfield look like an amateur chi;ldren's party clown.

But people are looking beyond the slight of hand now.

Great job in basically repeating a Fox News Talking Point.

I know of 8 people in my family who regret voting for him. Now you multiply that by the millions of other families and if the vote were taken today, I don't think that he would win.

I am saying, " I told you so." He is going to beat Carter out of 1st place for the worst President in American history.

That may be, but look at the numbers. Osama Obama is falling like a rock off Mt. Everest. He has not delivered any one thing he promised. Hell, even the college left wing liberal kids are starting to wake up.

This is why Republicans lose the 18-25 vote every election. They refer to people like me as "kids". I rather not hear the whole "Oh but I'm not Republican" spiel, I honestly don't care.

Don't you have a Klan meeting to get to?

Also, if you really think Obama hasn't done one thing he has promised, then you are obviously not paying attention. Oh, and if you haven't realized it by now, I AM one of those College Liberal "kids".

In the last Presidential election, this country overwhelmingly voted to put Obama into the Whitehouse. However, there were a group of people, who were discerning enough, to see through the haze of fancy words, campaign promises and therefore subsequently voted again him.

Now as it turned out, it appears as if we were right. Obama poll numbers have been sinking faster than The Titanic. His stimulus plan was poorly executed. And he is having trouble selling his heathcare plan. There is growing discontentment with the Obama administration, even within his own party.

Is this starting to be a case of, "I told you so"?

As one person puts it earlier in this thread, "the chicken has finally come home to roost".

He has been exposed by his dropping poll numbers, for the con artist that he really is.

Hopefully, this will keep him from getting elected to a 2nd term. The economy would not be able to hold up under a 2 term President Obama.

The same would be said of McCain if he had won. I'm not sure why Republicans thought Obama's approval ratings were going to be in the 70% range forever, that's impossible. His approval ratings are still higher then just about any President at this point in his term however.

Thanks Maple!

Yes, he will go back to Chicago in shame, the same way that Carter crawled back to Georgia, because he is just too inexperienced for the job.

This is a man, who wanted the job of President, so he can go down in the history book as being the 1st black President.

He just does not have the passion for the job. At times he seems bored. He exudes more passion, when he is throwing a ball on the basketball court.

This country is screwed for the next 3 years.

What the history books will say about Obama:

Barack Hussein Obama
- 44th President of the United States
- Served 2009-2013
- First African American President

That's about it.

I will agree that approval ratings don't tell us a whole lot at this stage but I don't agree that he is doing any better than his most recent predecessors except for Clinton. The 2010 election will be a good barometer of the national mood though. And if you don't want soft facist-style nationalized banks, corporations, auto makers, etc., if you don't want a crushing Cap & Trade bill that will be the biggest tax increase in the history of the world, if you don't want our health care system dismantled and managed by people who obviously don't have a clue how to do that, you better hope that the people are heard loud and clear in 2010. If it isn't already too late.

Fifty-seven percent of Americans surveyed approve of the job Obama's doing as president, according to a CNN Poll of Polls compiled and released Friday, with 36 percent disapproving. . . .

. . . .In early June, Obama's average approval rating was 62 percent. It dropped a point to 61 percent in mid-June and stayed at that level through the rest of the month.

"Recent polls indicate that Obama's lowest ratings -- and biggest losses -- come on the public's perception of how he is handling the economy," said Keating Holland, CNN polling director.

Holland adds: "And the latest CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll shows a double-digit drop in the number of Americans who think that the president has a clear plan for solving the country's problems. The public may not be as willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt after six months on the job as they did when he first took office."

So how does Obama compare to his most recent predecessors six months into a first term?

Former President George W. Bush also drew a 57 percent approval rating six months into his presidency, in July 2001. Bill Clinton stood at 48 percent in July 1993. Two-thirds of Americans polled approved of George H.W. Bush's job as president in July 1989, and six out of 10 gave Ronald Reagan the thumbs-up in July 1981.

Yep! And a footnote of being the 2nd worst Democratic President in American History.

I would say more like a little above average, and slipping rapidly. he won't be able to sustain the numbers when the economy is still slipping along with the unemployment, not to mention the debt rising. The inflation rise is still about 12 months out, that won't help. People are starting to realize the stimulus bill was a joke. So I'm confident that his positive numbers are going to become part of a distant past.

You don't know 20,000 words much less twenty thousand people who were McCain voters who would now vote for Obama. It's the other way around. You are just a kid who is wet behind the ears and hasn't the experience to make any truthful experienced remarks about the government of our nation. Sure, you are given the right to vote, but you are just as dumbassed about politics as the day you were born.
You call the racist card just like all others who can't see the light. This man is from a racist background if you have done your homework. There will always be the racist thing, but you kids need to either grow up and accept reality, or use more intelligent comebacks. It is quite obvious to me that Obama is using this universal healthcare to further the welfare program of our nation. And, who pays for that? The middle class American who goes to work each day, pays taxes , and supports our economy with spending hard earned money on necessary items to sustain life without depending on the government to do it for them. That's called Capitalism. That is what our country is. It is a capitalistic nation. What Obama and you represent is called socialism. Socialism leads to communism. Is that where you want our nation to go? If so, you will definitely be blocked.

My vocabulary is much higher than yours, lets put it that way.

It's obvious you don't know a thing called sarcasm, but I figure the Klan kind of kills any sense of humor huh? :eusa_eh:

Dumbassed isn't a word by the way. I don't need to be in my 40's to realize how bad things are in this country or how badly Republicans have fucked up things since 1980. I don't need some college degree or some ignorant fuck like you to tell me how things are.

You are a racist if you truly believe the two things I bolded before in your last post. You're just too ignorant to realize it.

You wouldn't know Socialism if it pimp slapped you in the face. You truly think Obama is a Socialist? The guy's not even a fucking Liberal. Are you sure you haven't gone and mixed up the N word with Socialist? I know some of you do that.

By the way, you hark so much about Capitalism. Want to know what the reality of Capitalism is?

I'll quote the late George Carlin on this one:

"Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff."
