Noone said it was, but this is the Israel forum. And what is shocking is not so much they are killing themselves as they see the true horror of what they are forced to do, but that it is at a rate that dwarfs them being killed by their enemies.

The tragedy is that killers if Israelis are treated as heroes and children are raised to seek martyrdom instead of striving for peace and understanding. If you are concerned for people committing suicide, you might want to worry about North and South Korea. Koreans have nearly, not quite, the highest suicide rates in the world. What are you doing to address that tragedy?
