Catching the Wave

Timing is important. It's one of the most difficult things to teach another person because it comes from experience. To catch the perfect wave you have to keep your eye on the horizon watching for it. You need to see it coming before it gets there.

As I watch the GOP candidates rise and fall, one by one, I am reminded of the discipline surfers are known for. They rise up early to train, they use their instincts, their experience, and their courage to catch the wave and ride it out. Their focus is single, their determination is unwavering. You can tell the great ones enjoy the ride no matter how rough it gets.

A surfer does not blame the wave if he falls. He accepts responsibility for where he missed it, picks up his board and heads back out there again. If he doesn't know how to surf? He won't learn how on "Jaws." He needs a smaller wave. “Baby steps.” Take Bill Murray's advice, Dr. Carson.

In all seriousness, the GOP candidates are going to have to grow up and accept the fact that in any race the competition isn't going to let them take 1st place without a fight. The nature of politics is dirty and whatever you say, can and will, be used against you. It is a poor specimen that cannot handle the pressures of adversity.

Anyone can pose on the cover of a magazine and look presidential. The right lighting, make-up, photo displayed can make a fool look like a king (or queen). Image is only skin deep. It is what is underneath that image that counts.

Candidates will spend an inordinate amount of time with image consultants, experts on body language, wardrobe consultants, all in an effort to present the right image. The right image can win an election and put them in the oval office. It just won't help them lead a nation of over 300 million people. Electing the wrong candidate can mean the difference between prosperity and poverty. It can also mean the difference between freedom and slavery. It happens in increments. We've been watching it happen for decades now.

The RNC and their establishment candidates are killing this country. Your present "cup of tea" has hemlock in it, ladies and gentlemen of the Republican Party.

Why are the people electing golf course prancing show horses when what America needs is a down in the trenches work horse? This generation might understandably ask, “What does a work horse look like?” Look up Winston Churchill. He was a work horse. That is what we need.

More than anything, we need a president that can lead this nation through the troubled waters we're in. Namely the South China Sea dispute which is happening right now.

Exactly when can we expect a response from a GOP candidate about this news?

It is high time we confront the RNC and the career politicians they have catered to and tell them their Party is over with and it is time to send the good ole' boys packing!

Who will lead the way?

Clinton's probably not going to become President because she supposoedly got 4 Americans killed. And those 4 resulted in years of hearings and news coverage about it.

Churchill sacrificed Coventry to keep a cryptopgraphy secret and 451 died. While one can argue the merits of keeping such secrets during a war, he makes a bad example of what we need more of.

Only admirable bit is the annecdote about staying at the White House, butt naked in his room when the President walks in on him, and instead of hurriedly covering up he smoothly says, facing the President, "As you can see Mr. President, the British people have nothing to hide."

Does the red above imply that you have not yet been totally serious? If so, all the text above it might have been in jest?

The fact that contestants must fight to take 1st Place has been accepted from day one. They are fighting among themselves in smear campaigns, vetting each other like no one EVER even thought about when Obama was the Democrat's shoe-in. The CNBC pseudo debate was geared toward egging them on and avoiding discussion of current political issues by filling the time with questions about what one candidate thought about another candidate's comment that was made about a third candidate.

The 'debate' was CNBC's covering Hillary's ass by suppressing conversation about her apparent diplomatic immunity from all laws whatsoever.

If Hillary's pantsuits have pockets, you can bet CNBC is in one of them. Look around you, Mem.
