Can a conservative please explain the difference between the Deep State and the Swamp

Deep State is/are government employees, many of which are Obama era hires/appointiees, who adhere to party over serving the present administration and the People. They use their positions subversively to undermine opposing political policy and personnel.


The Swamp is the entrenched old school cadre of career politicians, regardless of political affiliation, who serve only their continued political careers, cronies and institutions.

Aren't all high officers in the Executive nominated by the President (who is currently a Republican) and have to be confirmed by the Senate (which currently is majority controlled by the Republicans? Wouldn't these employees be answerable to their confirmed administrators and run the plays they call?

Didn't Trump supporters (in general) elect most of the swamp if what you say is true?
