Bush was the ultimate "Conservative". Stop saying he wasn't!

Socially..he wasn't all that conservative.

He was essentially colorblind and actually cared about people coming to this country.

But in terms of regulation, taxes and war?

Yep..very conservative.

So what's different about Obama and Bush on taxes and war again?

Ops, you owned yourself again.

Bush spent tons of money on welfare, education, housing, subsidies, Bailouts, stimulus and more. There was very little if anything about Bush that was socially conservative.

On the foreign aid and wars front there was literally nothing conservative about Bush.

The only thing I’d like to add is that there should be very little difference between a liberal and a conservative. What we have is something much different than a liberal of a conservative. SS,MC, Obamacare, wars, welfare and so on is unconstitutional… No matter if you are a liberal or a conservative the constitution should be your starting point. Really what we are debating is the semi capitalistic but mostly communist/socialist VS “conservatives.”

No chance of winning. It's between the two Big Government Globalist Harvard Boys. Thems be the choices.

Not if enough people decided to at least make a point with their vote and build from there.

Our current system is sadly flawed. We are presented with only two real choices. But the two choices aren't really choices. Obama/Romney? Come on, their both just two Big Government Globalists in the end. The two Harvard boys are gonna have a good laugh at the Peoples' expense come November. It's a Win/Win for the NWO Globalist Elite. But we the People will lose. It's very disheartening.

No disrespect to you, but I can't accept that solution. If one really thinks about it, the Libertarian platform can attract a myriad of people from different political persuasions.

No, no he was a called a liberal the whole time by Cons....

Right after he left office.

I dono, when Bush was down around 28% approval ratings I think most called him what he was... Too bad many of the liberals out there resist thinking for themselves and support party over thinking.

Bush was as Conservative as Obama & Romney are. Period, end of story.

Edit! Strike the word "period."

Strike the first "as" and replace with "more" then strike the second "as" and replace with "than" and then leave the period.

If this edit isn't made, the sentence is false.

That doesn't necessarily make W all that conservative. He wasn't, in many respects.

He liked to wave the American Flag. Even if he didn't know which end was up.

He surely did enjoy a "few" hits o' acid, as well!!!

Bush wasn't conservative what so ever, he was a big government Rino. You wouldn't know what Conservatism is if it slapped you in your face.

Conversely, Obama is neither a liberal nor "progressive"...In fact he is a died in the wool Fabian-Socialist. His ideology and philosophy mirror the failed policies of Europe.

Not at all. The right completely criticized the President every time he went off conservative principles.

Yep, I keep posting those names, One such important Conservative was...

*crickets*

Denial isnt healthy.

You have to present something in order for me to deny it. So far you've only given lip service about a nameless faceless secret group of Repubs who were against Bush while voting for him twice.

Bush wasn't for gay marriage or abortion he was pretty socially conservative imo

And on the DoEducation, Spending, welfare, Stimulus, housing, spending, Bail outs Homeland security, Health care MC part D front Bush was.....?

So if a liberal President was ok with gay marriage and abortion but ended the DoEducation, DoEnergy, FEMA, TSA, cut welfare spending, never bailed anyone out, did no stimulus, got Government out of health care and even gave an option for people to get out of SS they would still be considered “liberal” because they are *ok* with gay marriage and *ok* with abortion?
