When Pat Buchanan writes this, when he is against this war, you know Bush is going to soar:

Like it or not, President Bush is who we have. The Democrats with their socialist plans for the United States are NOT a viable alternative! Therefore, we need to keep putting pressure on the Republican majority in Congress to keep taxes low and implement more restraint in federal spending and power.

Im not a big fan of Pat Buch. but he is more real than most.

Oddly though, he goes on for a bit about how Bush is resolved to the end, that Bush has three more years of presidency, that his entire presidency is based on the Iraqi war, then ends it by saying he has bought 6-12 more months.????

It seems like that 38% that "strongly disapprove" are the hardcore Democrat fringe special interest groups of the left (PETA, NOW, NAMBLA, etc. etc) and will never approve of any republican President.

As for Freedom lover, right on the money, but dont allow the liberal leftists socialist commie press to feed you economic bull....the repeated, "highest deficit" in history is a distortion. Its not the highest PERCENTAGE of the GDP in history.

When one works out their personal budget, you work with percentages, whether you realize it or not. When your income (federal tax revenues, which have INCREASED with tax cuts) goes up, almost always your debt goes up.

Large corp's always start off with huge debts,,,

Thats not to say we shouldnt pressure for reductions in spending wherever possible. We should. Just dont allow the hypocritical lefties to sway anyone to believe Bush is a liberal in spending programs. If he had his way (which he doesnt always get cuz the congress repubs are NOT ALL CONSERVATIVES) spending would be cut in SS and Medicare and other programs. But he has to appease the middle because we dont have a clear cut majority in either house.

In the long run, the most important repubican effects are the Iraq war and Judicial nominees.

Lets celebrate our turnaround, and keep it going!
