I'm conjecturing that there was someone else there with a gun, that killed the shooter before he got to others. One target killed, four others wounded....doesn't sound like the fire fight lasted a long time. I wonder it they had an armed teacher on duty or an armed guard. I hope so.

This kid was not a legal owner of this gun. I don't think we know where he got the gun but I'd bet it was legally owned, probably by a parent.

Heroin is illegal. Does that prevent heroin addicts from getting heroin? Banning guns will no more stop killers from getting guns than banning drugs prevents the use of drugs.
It means killers will go unchecked to kill as many people as they want. Gun owners have prevented more deaths than killers have killed.
