The killer himself was politically motivated. What made him don that vest and load his weapons, knowing the police were on their way up the sidewalk ?Like I said, all too many of these people that put guns on a pedastal are very close to going over the edge. It is pretty simple really.
Guns should be kept out of the hands of criminals and nut cases. Local background checks have been proven to do that and not interfere with the legitimate rights of gun owners.

So how is that a legitimate gun owner's fault. We comply.. Last time we bought a gun they did an extensive background check on us..
Really, really sad. Prayers to the families of the fallen police officers. This is just the kind of story the Obama Administration needs to strengthen gun control laws.
