Bradley Manning's Typical Day

This seems to be a common theme with these Americans that lived much of their lives in other countries.

They don't seem to like it here. Course it doesn't help that the kid was Gay as well. Two reasons to hate this country. The fact that we're evil Capitalists and we don't, until recently, accept Gays into the military.

What does that say about Obama?

Btw....Obama was raised by a Gay nanny during his childhood in Jacarta and while living in Hawaii was mentored by a Gay Communist.

Don't get me wrong. Gays can be just as patriotic as everybody else....but is seems that because they have trouble fitting in....they can be a security risk and not quite as suited to military life as some heteros. Several Gays at Ft. Campbell have gone AWOL in the last few years because of the repeated deployments. I know of hetero Devil worshipers that have done the same thing. So it's not just Gays.

I know most of this is not PC to say....but I'm sorry. Ignoring the problem never solves anything folks.
So are we agreed on letting Manning out and tossing Obama in?

Both seem to have done a great deal of damage to this country's standing in the world.

I think both of them have something coming to them.
Ike was the first President I paid any attention to, and since that time I have not seen one I would rate as a greater risk to this republic than Obama.

And what's the beef here? (Not that you know anything about beef...only Tuna)...

The poster is correct...the GUY was frazzled over his lover...and you dispute this?

Yes.....we must ignore the fact he was gay at all costs. :eusa_whistle:
Were his actions in defense and support of the US Constitution?

Of course not. He swore an oath and also signed a statement that he would not do what he did or face prison or maybe in some cases the death penalty. If this were a declared war he's be facing a firing squad if convicted. It doesn't matter his motives. He's guilty of treason.

No I understand very well the reasoning for keeping him in isolation. And I kinda spoke to that in my comments...

And as to Bush and Cheney? Hon? This is where your message becomes muddled...and becomes a part of the WHO GIVES a shit crowd since we weren't speaking of them to begin with...

Clear?

Sorry, my dear - apparently all I intended to pick up was not. I didn't bring up Bush and Cheney - I was responding to this post by GeorgePhillip. He's the one who brought it up. Sorry it was muddy to you.

I have no sympathy for the guy.
Shouldn't we wait until after his trial to resort to suicide or homicide solutions?

If somewhere in the remaining stash of cables a smoking gun emerges that proves Bush and Cheney and Rummy lied about our reasons for going to war, would that alter your view of what Manning is accused of doing?

Then *MY BAD*. I humbly apologize.

From Antiwar.com July 2010 among the 91,000 internal US government communications, intelligence analysis and incidents reports is the following sighting of one Osama bin Laden:

"The Guardian provides a helpful interactive map, in which you click on a location and read the 'incident report.'

"Of course, you’re reading a selection of what the Guardian editors consider important, but it looks to me like their news judgment isn’t bad at all, because the first one I clicked on was an intelligence report detailing meetings of the Taliban with Osama bin Laden in Quetta, Pakistan, and in villages on the border with Afghanistan.

"So, bin Laden is not only alive, but they know where he is.

"I guess when Hillary was hectoring the Pakistanis about the whereabouts of bin Laden, the subtext was: 'If we know, then you must know, too!'”

So?

People make choices in life every day.

This moron made a choice. I don't really care what his reasons were.

Choices have consequences. In his case it will probably be life at hard labor in Leavenworth.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving moron.

Manning's lawyer David E. Coombs provides the following account of his client's daily routine:

"PFC Manning is currently being held in maximum custody.

"Since arriving at the Quantico Confinement Facility in July of 2010, he has been held under Prevention of Injury (POI) watch.

"His cell is approximately six feet wide and twelve feet in length.

"The cell has a bed, a drinking fountain, and a toilet.

"The guards at the confinement facility are professional. At no time have they tried to bully, harass, or embarrass PFC Manning.

"Given the nature of their job, however, they do not engage in conversation with PFC Manning.

"At 5:00 a.m. he is woken up (on weekends, he is allowed to sleep until 7:00 a.m.).

"Under the rules for the confinement facility, he is not allowed to sleep at anytime between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

"If he attempts to sleep during those hours, he will be made to sit up or stand by the guards.

"He is allowed to watch television during the day.

"The television stations are limited to the basic local stations. His access to the television ranges from 1 to 3 hours on weekdays to 3 to 6 hours on weekends...

"He is allowed to have any combination of up to 15 books and magazines..."

The sources you've quoted are starting to contradict themselves, George. But I suppose that's what happens when you cite exerpts from e-blogger as your source of facts.

Fuck Bradley Manning.

He will get what he deserves, whether it comes from the barrel of a REAL soldier, or if they release him to walk among the People he has betrayed.

52 years if convicted.

If Manning deserves 52 years, how much time should the architects of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars serve?

How many innocent humans have died from Manning's actions so far?

Care to respond to this opinion?

"Army Specialist Bradley Manning, the intelligence analyst who leaked the 'Collateral Murder' video of US pilots shooting down Iraqi civilians (including two Reuters photographers) in cold blood, is finally being charged.

"For revealing to the American people the truth about what’s going on in Iraq, Manning faces horrendous legal consequences – nearly sixty years in prison if convicted on all counts.

"One of the charges, incredibly, is espionage.

"He was a 'spy,' according to the US government – for letting Americans in on the 'secret' that we are committing war crimes in Iraq, and around the world."

Both wars were approved by Congress.

According to your logic anyone who voted for these wars is a war criminal and should be prosecuted.

Civilians die in all wars. From the first war ever fought to present day.

Perhaps we should prosecute all leaders who are still alive after WWII. How many civilians were killed in that war?

Manning deliberatly released the intel. He didn't give a rats ass who could be killed or harmed because of his breach of security.

Here's hoping he spends the next 52 years behind bars. He can ponder his decision and the consequences of his decision. Hope he rots.
