This demonstrates the dysfunction of our political system. The extremes of both parties make it difficult for politicians to come to a reasonable compromise, especially in today’s toxic political environment when each side views the other as the enemy rather than as Americans with differing opinions.

Having said that, this is happening on Biden’s watch. The Democrats have to get their shit together. Because if they don’t fix this, people will elect Republicans who will.
