Blame this on Bush! Obama Has Lowest Average 1stQ GDP Growth of Any President on Record

For the majority Obama is an ideal scapegoat, as if there were no other "geniuses" before. Indeed, it is too simple to find the problem.
The fact he is just not qualified enough to be a President is out of question, but what about Bush? He launched a lot of things we can't rid of today. Take Iraq - Obama has no idea what War is, he has no idea what to do with Iraqis and their sympathizing to isis, he promised to close Gitmo ect. and it seems the only thing he is looking forward to is 2016.

Shuffling off the blame on to the next POTUS (Hillary, whatever) will not solve the problem.

here's a clue....most of the country was snowed under for the first quarter. Sheesh! what a moron.

Here's a clue. OBAMA HAS HAD SIX AND ONE HALF YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

Reagan turned around the damage Carter did to the country in TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

Bush rode out the damage 9/11 did to the country

Keep making excuses for a president who has done nothing to improve the economy and in face has made it worse.

Summer of recovery my ass!

You must have a hazy memory, The entire 1980's was a wash out until the mid nineties, real income did not rise...

Actually it rose through most of the Reagan administration and then went flat pretty much through HW's term then started to rise again

Not in Okiehoma, we were hit by the deregulation of oil...and the grain embargo of the USSR...

OK, so the standard is that if anywhere the economy doesn't improve then it doesn't count? Let me guess, you don't apply that standard to Obama, do you?

Conservatives please, do not engage in the lying lowlife scum liberal's game of dishonesty to make a point don't sink to their level. This past winter was brutal and widespread it clearly impacted the numbers.

Yeah, because NO OTHER president ever had to deal with bad weather!!!!

Who's being dishonest here?

GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK!

All I'm saying is don't sink to their level, there's 101 indisputable things to call this administration out on.

Gee, as far as I know, people STILL go to work whether or not the weather is bad or not.
People STILL need a paycheck to feed and put clothes on their families.
IF anything, people will go out and buy more shovels, snowmobiles, snow blowers, roof rakes, etc.
Then again, apparently, you will defend obama with any flimsy excuse.

After the destruction of the economy on Bush's watch, it's understandable that years later the damage would still not be undone.

You had better stop it before you go blind!!!
The economy that Reagan inherited from Carter was a lot worse than the economy that obama inherited from Bush.
Reagan turned the bad economy around in two years,
Obama has had his boot on the throat of the American economy since he became President.
You need to take off your liberal-tinted glasses and stop making excuses for obama's total failure as a President.

You've never been a mason...Reagan had a little help with the economy, it was called Silicon Valley and the tech revolution...

Cue the paid liberals who will flood this thread with skewed or made up stats, that prove somehow Obama "created jobs." They can lie but the real numbers won't.

Obama Has Lowest Average 1stQ GDP Growth of Any President on Record

Even if you leave out the first quarter of 2009—when the recession that started in December 2007 was still ongoing--President Barack Obama has presided over the lowest average first-quarter GDP growth of any president who has served since 1947, which is the earliest year for which the Bureau of Economic Analysis has calculated quarterly GDP growth.

In all first quarters since 1947, the real annual rate of growth of GDP has averaged 4.0 percent.

In the seven first quarters during Obama’s presidency, it has declined by an average of -0.43 percent. And if you leave out the first quarter of 2009 and look only at the first quarters of the six years since the recession ended, it has averaged only 0.4 percent

In the six years of Harry Truman’s presidency for which the BEA has calculated quarterly GDP, the annual rate of growth in GDP in the first quarter averaged 4.5 percent.

Blame It on Global Cooling Obama Has Lowest Average 1stQ GDP Growth of Any President on Record

It's hard to get around the real numbers. Liberals will trot out the usual explanations that it's really Bush's fault, or the Republicans fault.

But Republicans are not to blame for this mess.

Lie your way out of this liberals.
O took over Bush's great recession.

Remember this. 9-11 didn't cause the 2007 great recession. Bush's policies were much more at fault than that 1 day event. 9-11 did cause a recession but that was just Bush's first recession.

Remember bush had to send us each $300-$700 a couple times to stimulate the economy? People forget how bad things were under bush.

The check that Bush sent to all taxpayers, was one of the things that saved us from the looming recession that he inherited from Clinton.
It was billed as "the shortest recession ever", because of Bush's policies.
Obama has been stomping on the American economy since the day he became President.

A rant, and a LIE by omission ^^^!

Only the most partisan fools fail to understand that Climate Change, or at least one of the most horrific winters was the cause, not something President Obama can be blamed for, though, if Climate Change is a product of humanity then our leaders who didn't lead on this issue are culpable.

Obama inherited a recession that was bottoming out. Then he made it worse.
How did an event in 2001 cause a recession in 2008?
Bush inherited Clinton's recession, kicked off by 9/11 and turned it around in 18 months. Obama has created 7 years of the slowest growth on record, and now slipping back into recession.
Nice work, Barack!

Bullshit. Most of the country was spared that terrible winter (we didnt see any of it here). Winters do not cause negative growth rates. Bad economic policies cause them.
Notice that Obama has not had a single quarter, except one, where growth exceeded 3%. And growth had been slowing anyway prior to this last quarter.

The economy that Reagan inherited from Carter was a lot worse than the economy that obama inherited from Bush.
.

Who told you that?

The misery index told me that!

GDP was -2.77% in Bush's last quarter as president, Q4 2008, and that's not even counting the very bad Jan 2009.

Carter never had a quarter that bad his entire presidency.
Bush's average D GDP growth through his presidency far exceeds Obama's, dum-dum.
