best glenn beck clip I have seen in a long time

While I often Agree with Beck and think he makes some very scary and compelling arguments. I think it is almost pointless to post his stuff. Liberals are programed to automatically dismiss him, Call him a racists, and post some out of context clip of him from Media Matters. You will in turn be dismissed as CRAZY for listening to him.

:)

Oh Yank will be sure to chime in when he resumes his regularly scheduled posting Monday morning. He despises all things conservative, most notably Beck and Palin.

Poor Beck, mad as a hatter.

“In its many enthroned variations, from Lenin's 1917 revolution to the recent Marxist Leninist regimes of Africa, communism has killed upwards of 100 million people65 million in China alone. Courtois and his colleagues do not simply unfold the numbers relentlessly and numbingly. Instead, they painstakingly explore the many ways the killing was done-from summary execution to forced deportations, from mass starvation to the gulag-and examine its many pretexts.”
The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression
Foreign Affairs (Book Review); New York; Nov/Dec 1999; Robert Legvold;

[Paul Hollander] is best known for his now-classic book Political Pilgrims, which examined the phenomenon of twentieth-century Western intellectuals who allowed themselves to be seduced and duped by radical revolutionary regimes of the most patent despotism and brutality. How and why did so many intelligent, cultivated, and educated people come to believe such obvious nonsense? Pilgrims was a tragicomic study of how the cherished ideas of the self-important can so easily overwhelm their common sense, and how education can serve to blind as well as to enlighten.
Between Experience and Reflection by Theodore Dalrymple, City Journal 27 April 2009

Just as Herbert Croly [mentor of both Wilson and TR] could make allowances for Mussolini, and other Progressives the same for Stalin, the 1960’s generation of liberals had a soft spot for men like Castro, Che, Arafat, as long as they moved beyond bourgeois morality and democracy in the name of social justice. Once again, the left shows an obsession with the fascist values of authenticity and will. Goldberg, “Liberal Fascism,” p. 324

Read, study...it will scare you how much you have not been taught.
Then folks will call you mad, too.

Did I just hear Glenn Beck lamenting that today's children don't live in constant fear of nuclear annihilation?

'Che was a racist and a mass murderer'

I wonder how he feels about Jackson.

'If I [were] going to ban a t-shirt... I'd ban the one with the killer communist on it'

What of the one with the flag that waved over genocide? No,. I'm not talking about the red one with the white disk, I'm talking about the flag that was flown over the nation that saw forced sterilization before German did, that locked it own citizens in 'internment camps' and that marched countless persons down a 'trail of tears' to make way for the superior race...

'it's not offensive because people don't know the history'

:eusa_whistle: tell me about it...

Yes, communist parties exist in the US. So, to, do socialist parties, constitutionalist parties, the Christian Party USA. In a free country, you can rally around whatever moronic cause you want- just don't expect to get any votes or be allowed to enact your pipedream.

As for the whole BP, capitalism, nationalization thing...

I don't agree with her solution, but the current system doesn't work

Not at all like we did when I was a kid. Todays kids do not do stop drop and cover drills in school in case of a massive soviet attack. Unless you lived through the height of the cold war, you do not know what you are talking about. Beck is right, our kids do not live in fear of Nuclear annihilation anywhere near like my generation or those before it did.

Today the fear is of a small scale attack, by terrorist or some nation like Iran or NK. Back then the fear was of 25,000 Soviet ICBs blanketing our Nations and most likely killing most people on earth eventually. Hardly the same fear today. It is not impossible it could happen, however it seems far less likely than it did back then. Kids who lived through the Cuban Missile crisis for instance were Sure they were all going to die for several Days. Today's world is more Dangerous in many ways, but less likely to be destroyed by all out Nuclear war with 10's of thousands of war heads exchanged between sides.

Beck never had to duck and cover. Hes not old enough.

Its a shame that so many Americans are so afraid of so many things.

Pay attention to what your kids are being taught folks - communism is indeed "cool" in the American education system - and not just our colleges anymore...
