Bernie says America is not compassionate, so Rand Paul calls him out on it.

So the question begs, if Americans are sooooo uncompassionate, then why would they elect him if Sanders is the be all to being compassionate with his socialists proposals?

Bernie probably thinks Cuba is more compassionate.

Bernie thinks compassion means supporting someone else being forced to fund what he supports then taking credit for it as if the money came directly from his own pocket.

$575,000 isn't a ton of money on a senator's salary. At least he didn't have to whore himself out to Goldman Sachs to get it.

If Bernie doesn't have the personal money to do the type things he things the rest of us should be forced to do, he should STFU.

Seems you missed the point.

Bernie says America is no compassionate. Until Bernie does with his own money what he would vote as a Senator to force others to do that he supports, he should STFU. Bernie is an avid supporter of "free" college. Until Bernie personally funds it for all those he thinks should go because their own sorry parents won't pay, he doesn't have a valid argument when he promotes those that aren't the kid's parents funding it through higher taxes. If the kid's own parents don't think the kid is a good enough investment, why should I?
