At The Core Of America’s Problems….

Shows how crazy or radical that you are that you only see one side of the isle. Now tell the truth by admitting that there are radicals on both sides of the isle.

Of course there are
But claiming that liberals control the curriculum is equally misleading
The liberal or leftist curriculum is exactly what millions of parents are protesting about, but their voices are falling onto deaf ears why ???
The right has an equal or greater control over the curriculum

Who do you think calls the shots in red states?
Are there as much problems in the conservative strong holds is what you are asking ?? Not sure, but liberalism has seemed to have been pushed into every public school system by force or why the outcry about it everywhere ?
It is not pushed in every school system
Go to Texas and see who calls the shots
I garantee you that in the public school system that is in Texas, that they have capitulated on some crazy bullcrap that has been pushed down their throats by the federal government against the wishes of the parents there. If not then hurray for Texas.

Large Majorities Dislike Political Correctness - The Atlantic

May be a sign that the excesses of Liberalism have poisoned that well, and America may very well be off to better, less divisive times.

2. A corollary to that view is found in this article, with a similar view of the public schools

This article from the NYPost may just be one more of the sign of the death throes of Leftism.

Parents are giving up on public schools to home-school their kidshttps://nypost.com/2018/10/12/paren...c-schools-in-droves-to-homeschool-their-kids/

“Taty Sena of Park … home-schools her 6-year-old daughter.

she lives in an area “with one of the best public schools in the city, PS 321,” she says. “And the vice principal of that school is one of my best friends, who is a great defender of children and their right for a childhood, so that was not a concern at all.”

…she says she no longer has faith in an “unnatural system created during the industrialization era.”…

Homeschooling….the answer to both the indoctrination instituted by the public schools, and the lack of education therein.
The core of America’s problems is reactionary conservatism, the right’s unwarranted fear of change, diversity, inclusion, and expressions of individual liberty.

The core of America’s problems is conservatives who seek to compel women to give birth against their will.

The core of America’s problems is the right’s advocacy of a police state where citizens are subject to all manner of searches and seizures predicated on the presumption of guilt due to one’s race, ethnicity, or place of residence.

The core of America’s problems is conservatives hostile to the due process rights of gay and transgender Americans.

The core of America’s problems is conservatives placing undue burdens on the right to vote.

The core of America’s problems is the bane of conservatism.

"The core of America’s problems is reactionary conservatism,..."

Bogus.

There is no such thing, as "reactionary conservatism", just as there is no Far Right in this country....only a Far Left.

America was founded based on individualism, free markets, and limited constitutional government.

The Right, conservatives, still stand for those very ideas.

But....there are morons who believe every dumb idea government schooling imparts.....
....like you.
Raise your paw, C_Chamber_Pot.

These are your views....and they are not American:
...the collective, command and control regulation of private industry, and overarching government that can order every aspect of the private citizen's life....right down to control of his thoughts and speech.

" Franklin Roosevelt had pictured a place where citizens were joined in a collective enterprise ... Reagan pictured a more individualistic America where everyone would flourish once freed from the shackles of the state, and so the watchwords became self-reliance and small government."

And, as to that point....

"...home-schooling doesn’t come cheap. Katrina Maloney, who lives in New York and is married to a TV director, has been home-schooling her 11-year-old daughter, Marriana, from the beginning, and she estimates the cost of a home education at roughly $10,000 a year. (The average cost for a private school in Manhattan, according to the National Association of Independent Schools, is $44,050.) That includes expenses for books, field trips, museum memberships, transportation, online classes, home-schooling clubs and miscellaneous supplies, among other expenditures.

“Everything has to be paid for out of pocket,” says Maloney, a former director for early education turned full-time mom. “For families that can’t afford to have only one working parent, it can be a real sacrifice.”

You shot yourself in the foot. $10k to the average American family is far beyond their means. Two kids, double it, three and they are below the poverty level, and above the benefits currently available to the poor.

As in every other exchange we have had, I am the expert.

I am the homeschool parent.

There are a range of expenses depending on the path one chooses....I uses K12...

4.”Home-schooling in the US has been legal in all 50 states since 1993, but it’s only recently seen a surge in popularity. The National Center for Education Statistics estimates that home-schooled children have doubled over the last two decades, from 850,000 in 1999 to 1.8 million in recent years, or roughly one in every 33 kids. The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) claims it’s even higher, with 2.2 million US children currently getting home-schooled, and that number is rising between 5 and 15 percent on average every year.

In New York, which has about 3.3 million school-aged kids, 91,500 were home-schooled during the 2017-18 school year, up from 89,000 the previous year."

Millions of parents responding to Liberal attempts at indoctrination.

And growing every year.

At the core of America's current problems are a couple of unfortunate facts relating to public "education."'

The field of public education attracts a group of people who are very far from typical, and certainly not a cross section of American society. There is "diversity" to some extent, but the typical American public school teacher is a (1) a flaming liberal, (2) a government, unionized worker, (3) a bottom-of-the-class college grad, who majored in - to put it bluntly - bullshit, and (4) a person who has never had a responsible job outside the protective cocoon of the Education System. It is a person who savors the long summer vacations and the anticipated early retirement, and usually adopts the union mentality (whether or not there is a union) that I will do what is necessary to get by. Don't ask for more. The main focus in life is to avoid issues with management, avoid conflict with kids, and avoid conflict with parents. "If I have to give everyone an A or a B to keep them all happy, then that's what I'll do."

For this group, Howard Zinn is the epitome of understanding and wisdom, and American Patriarchy is the cause of most of the world's most pressing problems.

Instead of education, the process is more of an indoctrination. They are not imparting KNOWLEDGE, but rather an outlook - a cornucopia of sensitivities. Ask a HS grad what is the Magna Carta. What is the Pax Romana? What was the significance of the Battle of Gettysburg, and what war was it a part of? Where IS Gettysburg? Who wrote the Declaration of Independence? What is the significance of Pearl Harbor Day? Why were we engaged in a "Cold War" with the Soviet Union?

It's no wonder Americans under 35 favor Socialism. They have no fucking idea.

The group you identify going into this field appear to be very similar to another group....identified in the Deep State...

Here, from the former CIA Moscow Station head...

1. ".... the denizens of the Deep State that everyone in Washington likes to tell us doesn’t exist....made up of thousands of similarly credentialed, remarkably “un-diverse” civil servants and political appointees who saw themselves promoted rapidly during the eight years of the Obama administration. The appointees have left, but make no mistake — the progressive civil servants remain.

2. The present culture of the intelligence community and the shameless political shenanigans of the Obama administration combined to create this disaster. ....CIA leadership famously stood up to the Nixon administration when asked to domestically spy on Justice during Watergate, for example.

3. It seems that today we lack the character and the competence to ensure that the intelligence community honors the trust of the American people."
How the intel community was turned into a political weapon against President Trump

The Zinn history book is ubiquitous.....but few know who Zinn was.

Few know that Zinn was an avowed communist who hated America.

"On July 30, 2010, the FBI released one file with three sections totaling 423 pages on Howard Zinn.... The Bureau noted Zinn’s activities in what were called Communist Front Groups and received informant reports that Zinn was an active member of the CPUSA; .... file discloses that several reliable informants in the party identified Zinn as a member whoattended party meetings as many as five times a week.

What’s more, one of the files reveals that a reliable informant provided a photograph of Zinn teaching a class on “Basic Marxism” at party headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, in 1951. A participant in the class said that Zinn taught that “the basic teaching of Marx and Lenin were sound and should be adhered to by those present.”...

...pro-Castro activism and support for radical groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), Progressive Labor Party (PLP), Socialist Workers Party (SWP), and Black Panther Party. Much of the latter was in connection with Zinn’s support for a communist military victory in Vietnam....

.... joined the Kremlin-controlled CPUSA not during the “Popular Front” era of the 1930s — when many idealists were seduced — but after the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in which Stalin cruelly and cynically sacrificed Poland to the Nazis.

Zinn was a card-carrying Commie who advocated Marxism-Leninism after the Red Army’s ”Iron Curtain” occupation of Eastern Europe, after the treachery of the Rosenbergs and Alger Hiss had been revealed, and even during the height of Stalin’s anti-Semitic “Doctors’ Plot” purge!"

We need to ban Home Schooling

It is just a dodge for parents too lazy to get up and get their kids to school

5. “Religious fundamentalists once made up the majority of home-schoolers, but not anymore. The reasons parents are seeking nontraditional education options are now far more eclectic. Today, parents who opt for home-schooling are concerned about everything from school shootings to bullying to academic standards.

They’re rejecting the one-size-fits-all model and according to a 2018 PDK/Gallup poll, 55 percent of adults think today’s kids are getting a far worse education than they had in their youth. (It’s the biggest drop since the poll started asking the question in 1973.)”
https://nypost.com/2018/10/12/paren...c-schools-in-droves-to-homeschool-their-kids/

And that’s a fact…..we had the best education system in the world before Liberals took charge.

"Why Can’t American Students Compete?

...32 percent of U.S. public and private-school students in the class of 2011 are deemed proficient in mathematics, placing the United States 32nd among the 65 nations that participated in the latest international tests administered by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The United States ranks between Portugal and Italy and far behind South Korea, Finland, Canada, and the Netherlands, to say nothing of the city of Shanghai, with its 75 percent proficiency rate."
Why Can’t American Students Compete?

Liberals in charge.....that's why.

6. Why is it the Liberals Fascists want to ban home schooling???

I need to point out that homeschooling parents are super-regulated.

“On top of a letter of intent, which is due annually, parents need to submit an Individualized Home Instruction Plan (their full education curriculum including syllabi, materials and textbooks) followed by four quarterly reports and a year-end assessment. Seven different documents in all, which are due again the following year. Every piece of paperwork needs to be delivered to the Central Office of Home Schooling in New York City,

Proving that a home-schooled child gets a passing grade isn’t as easy as a parent believing that they did, at least not in New York. For Koski, she files quarterly reports for both of her daughters to the district superintendent, in which she documents not just how many hours they’ve studied and a full description of each subject, but also “a grade or narrative evolution of their progress,” she says.

There are standardized tests that need to be taken, every other year between grades 4 and 8 and then annually from grades 9 to 12, either administered at a public school or at home by a “New York state certified teacher,” according to official regulations.” https://nypost.com/2018/10/12/paren...c-schools-in-droves-to-homeschool-their-kids/

Everything is documented.

Sooooo…..why do the Liberals/Fascists want to ban home schooling??????

I bet you know why.

You shot yourself in the foot. $10k to the average American family is far beyond their means. Two kids, double it, three and they are below the poverty level, and above the benefits currently available to the poor.
