Article V - Amendment

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Friends Of the Article V Convention

Given the near nil likelyhood that We the People will ever be able to dislodge at the ballot box the Republicrat Corporatism which has an utter stranglehold on the Republic:

1) too many of us both conservative and progressive have lost our collective minds. What else but INSANITY can you call doing the same failed act over and over, expecting change? BUSH 1/Clinton(s)/Bush 2/Obama each step down the cattle shute the Republi-Crat sameness grew kinda like the last scene of Animal farm where as the barnyard folks watch human-pig around the table morph one into the other.

2) A propagnda machine such as the Nazis and Soviets would envy keeps most of us (certainly a voting majority) in mortal fear of our neighbors because they have been suckered by the other face of the Cabal.

Soooo, perhaps it is time to start thinking outside the Box- could a State Called Convention outside the control of the Permanent Government produce Amendments disigned to geld/smash said Permanent Government and return power to the People of America?

Given our experiences of the past 60 years what topics might Amendments address which would make a difference in the lives of ordinary folk while not resulting in an instant progressive/conservative divide?

Some possible outcomes of a convention:
Repeal the 2nd Amendment
Include such "rights" as jobs, food, housing, education and healthcare
Repeal 1 Amendment protections for political speech for corporations.

The danger of something really sucky is too great. Bad idea.

Given that any Convention Amendment(s) would required the approval of 3/4 of the States its kinda unlikely that anything grossly out of step with the American People would cross that finish line. As it is today we have a republicrat oligarchy so well entrenched and so dismissive of the Interests of ordinary Americans that an end run around their fortess in D.C. is virtually required to restore the Republic. Convention is the tool the Founders provided to remedy just this sort of usurpation by a powerful and greedy faction.
