You see.....normal people who own guns are not using their legal guns to commit crime or violence. You had armed protestors show up to protest that idiot in New Mexico banning gun carrying.....and they didn't burn, loot or kill anyone, and they didn't even shoot anyone with all the guns they had.

(Let's not point out that the Jan. 6 protestors didn't bring any guns to the Capitol)

The country could take a lesson from the armed protesters who turned out in Albuquerque, New Mexico earlier this week in opposition to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s unconstitutional suspension of Second Amendment rights under the guise of a “public health emergency.”

“Justifiably angry New Mexico gun owners who showed up at the protest didn’t hurt anyone, didn’t burn anything, did not clash with police and nobody was arrested or even cited,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “What a stark contrast to the violent ANTIFA demonstrations and urban rioting we have seen in recent years.


“Instead of setting fires”, he continued, “these gun owners set an example. They didn’t vandalize public or private property, did not engage in physical assaults or looting, and yet they are the people who are repeatedly penalized by left wing politicians, now to include Democrat Gov. Lujan Grisham, for crimes they did not commit, and would never consider committing.”

But mass shootings. . .accidents. . .what could happen. . .the anti-gun arguments are as predicable as taxes these days.

The point that those on the left can't seem to grasp is that the problem is with screwed up ideologues, idiots, mentally ill and/or just evil people who commit terrible crimes with guns or bombs or SUVs or anything else. Those are the people we should be focused on and working to help law abiding Americans to protect themselves from them. Those who have participate in or promote or condone violence and/or destruction and/or disruption of normal society should be the ones watched, monitored, controlled when necessary.

Responsible, law abiding Americans with guns unconcealed or concealed on their person, with guns in their vehicles, with guns in their homes, even a gun in their hands are not the problem.

In New Mexico, the estimated number of legal gun owners is 46.2% of the state's population, yet the overwhelming majority of the gun owners in New Mexico or any other state aren't upset enough to take the time away from work, or whatever they are doing to physically show up and show their opposition.
