Are the Democrats Finished?

Going back to the OP, the Democrats are certainly not finished, but there were two clear positive developments last night for me: First, it was obvious that the GOP has learned from its past mistakes and ran a slate of non-crazy candidates; and second, it's beginning to look like all the Democrat assumptions that they own the black vote (irony intended) may be starting to crumble.

We need two strong, non-crazy parties and their votes need to be earned honestly.

The GOP does best for itself when it marginalizes stuff like:

• Socialist!
• Marxist!
• Communist!
• Kenyan!
  
• Birth certificate!
• Impeachment!
  
• Social Security is a scam!
• Medicaid and Medicare, boo!
  
• 47% are freeloaders!
  
• Eliminate these government agencies!

Look at the races. You didn't see this happening and the GOP won. That's no coincidence.

No. Over the next two years when absolutely nothing happens to help the middle class, the minorities are even further disenfranchised and gridlock continues in Congress, the next POTUS will be a Dem.
