Anybody Know What's Wrong With My Cat?

i think a vet could call both of thoses.....i am curious why a vet would put off the biopsy if it is cancer the sooner its removed the better

i think you may have a shitty vet

Does it stink?

No.

why is it taking so long? your post was 11/29...has the vet taken a biopsy yet? lab results should not take a month

No, she got scheduled for the biopsy like the fifth or sixth of January because with Christmas coming up, they couldn't take her in before that.

Well how did she hurt her leg?

That doesn't happen very often with cats.

She doesn't seem to have a good track record with injuries.

That eye looks like an injury to me.

I don't think she got injured since she has an ear injury as well. Then again, nobody ever saw what happened when she hurt her leg as she was just limping one morning. That was quite a while ago though as she doesn't have that issue anymore.

Your kittly does not really look happy or well to me.

She is very happy though,.. well, I'm not sure about but there's nothing we can currently do about it. She goes in for her biopsy in a couple of weeks. We can't make it go any faster.

Did it just appear, or has it been there for awhile?
It looks like a parasitic infection.

There's been a lump in her ear for months, but it's only recently started to get bad.

botworms?

What are they?

I don't know. I'm very confused myself.

parasites that get in animals in the fall....

okay if my vet told me he couldnt get one of my animals in for tests...i would be changing vets fast...no excuse for not working her in

I could see if she was in pain, but it really does look worse than it is and her ear regularly gets clean around here.

vet should not tell you it may be cancer then tell you to wait....that is just bs...i will admit i have a reg vet, a specialist outta charlotte and a vet that i use for emergencies...your vet should not confuse you....and i assure i have seen some crazy vet stuff.....like the reg vet coming out and telling me to head to charlotte...my dog has glaucoma ...he lost that eye...but dont be afraid to demand answers

and make sure they explain it all to you ....so that you understand....and watch out for the cpr thing...they will charge you regardless of it working or not and the chances of it working are low....

the wicked thing...they have the same medical issues as we do

I agree that it's bullshit and I'm worried that she has cancer too, but at the same time I also know she's still purring and happy and it just looks really bad. If it is cancer and it's spread then either way we can't do anything much different for her.

if a human can get it...dogs and cats normally can get it...diabetes.....cancer.....liver disease all of it....

Basically just going with the advice of other family members that are older and smarter than me.

it is 1 degree here.....but we are in a hollar....you know what that is? the wind is above us...we can hear it but its not in the hollar..has to be a hard east wind to get down to us....

i never said i was never nice lol i just dont make it a habit....

I took in a kitten last year and she had a lump in the back of her next that exploded and my adopted brother kept cleaning it and using triple antibiotic on it and the would closed and healed in a week.

Puss came out and we thought she would die but she recovered.

First off tell the OP to cone the cat so the cat will not scratch at the wounds and clean the wounds and then use antibiotics on the wound.

I have a old car that get these wounds and also it could be flees or mites like Bones said.

It doesn't look like a fungal issue. A lump can be a cyst caused by a parasite. Others asked about injury. Could be the cause, also.
Anyway you look at it, it appears to be infected. My Dad used to use amoxicillin ointment on the livestock. 1st, try an anti-bacterial shampoo. Put in on with a cotton swab.

Knowing if the cat has a fever will help diagnose it. I have no idea what the normal temp of a cat is.
