The time has come for white Americans. Nobody wants to keep hearing how ending racism is going to take time. If whites had preached such patience while being under the thumb of Britain, America would still be a British colony. Why should nonwhites in this country continue waiting for whites to end racist behavior and seriously enforce the laws written to stop it?

Here we see an example of a white person taking the personal responsibility she has to call out her people for the wrongs whites have committed. She was not alive for the colonization or slavery, but she doesn't use that as an excuse to dismiss her responsibility to fix the damage caused by those things. This ain't about being guilt ridden. So if you can't take the same kind of responsibility....

None of those who spout that and are white are denying that so called white privilege for themselves. So, all of those White Privilege Neighborhoods that are predominately Progressive needs to lead the way. They are not. Socialism means a lot of things. and they are not doing much but spout it and when they vote others suffer for it. I would be honored to work for the Dept. of Karma/Revenge. Immediately low-income housing would e built in the millions in every Prog neighborhood in this nation. Marthas Vineyard would have tens of thousands of homes and more built. We will even build several homes on house properties with lawns. This is the way it has to be done. And it is not.

Funny. I do not see Whites taking responsibility as a race for their racial bad apples. Lots of denial instead. For example, bad apples are viewed as just that, not a racial failing. Historic racial failings are excused away.

I deny any responsibility for black's problems. If anything, I have been quite helpful.

First, not all white people lay their problems are illegal immigrants. I don’t. You are lumping all white people together. But we as a whole can recognize the problems illegals cause when they arrive here en masse, make demands for free housing and food, and displace Americans from resources. Illegals - and the Dems‘ coddling of them - have created major problems.

Similarly, not all blacks - or even most of them - lay their problems on whites. But the ones who remain mired in poverty, single mothers on welfare, and who commit higher rates of crime who do so are wrong. They have every opportunity to make responsible choices and take advantage of the free education our government provides them.

Hey, imagine if someone in the 1930s had said, "Let's not let any Jews from Europe in here because they might take up food and housing that Christian Americans need."

Of course, they might even have been justified, because life was actually pretty hard in this country in the 1930's.

They have every opportunity to make responsible choices and take advantage of the free education our government provides them.

Not everyone can live a perfect life, Lisa. Stuff happens. There are more white people on welfare than black people. (and that's actual poverty relief, not middle-class entitlements that DWARF what we spend on poverty.)

"Free education" would be wonderful if it was of any quality. It's like saying you don't know why the poor are complaining, we are giving them government cheese.

How is this any different than Blacks blaming racism for things? The ONLY difference I see is that you believe that your reasons are valid (while theirs are not) so you and others aren’t demanding Whites take responsibility AS a race FOR the problems).

True. Though I argue the cause and effects are more complex than just that. What about the Whites who remain mired in poverty, single mothers on welfare, opiod and drug abuse, higher rates of crime….my state being a good example… be told to clean up their own communities instead of blaming the influx of migrants crossing the border for their problems.

Who is lumping all blacks together. Most are doing OK, many doing quite well, and don’t blame whites. But the ones who do are wrong. Whites didn’t force them to have children when they were unmarried and couldn’t support them - which is strongly correlated with poverty, crime, and poor educational attainment.

No. I am blaming migrants for causing problems to both blacks and whites - and of course to specific blacks and whites. But that doesn’t mean that these entitled scofflaws aren’t causing problems to America, as a whole.

Why should the American taxpayer spend a dime on people who come here on their own, without invitations and often in violation of our laws? Does your Chinese wife expect the taxpayers to take care of her? I'm assuming that she is a LEGAL immigrant. All previous immigrants were allowed to sink or swim on their own, the government did nothing to support them, in fact they were deported if they caused problems or expenses for the government. Immigrants were required to have sponsors who guaranteed they wouldn't become burdens on the taxpayer.

If they get jobs, they are "Taking jobs away from Americans". (Even though we have a 10 million worker shortage and most of the jobs they take are ones Americans don't want to do.)

And if they don't get jobs, they are a bunch of "Lazy welfare bums". (Even though they don't qualify for most relief programs.)
