Americans in the 1950s

In the 1950s over half of the Youth ( under 18 ) had been trained to safely use firearms ( School shooting clubs/ Teams ) ( Cub Scout / Boy Scout programs ) ( Military Schools ) ( Hunting with Family ) ( Anti Predation In Farming Ranching ) ...

Except Blacks, gays, minorities, the Korean War, the Red Scare etc.
The 50's was a celebration of American achievement, mainly our contributions to winning WW2. From a Biblical perspective it was the pinnacle of power and influence of the 'great' nation promised to the descendants of Joseph. From the 'pinnacle' there is only direction...downward.

Genesis 18:18
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

This is a national promise never realized in ancient Israel. Nor does it refer to Jesus Christ. Jesus did not come out of a "great and mighty" nation. The blessings are material, not spiritual. There is only one nation that fits the various Biblical descriptions of this great nation, the United States of America.

Note that the promise was two-fold; greatness and might. The might was our economic, and, military strength (which began to decline after WW2). Our greatness was manifested in our benevolence and generosity to all, even toward our defeated enemies, and our sense of fairness and goodwill.

"Back in September of 1956, student fees and tuition per semester were $90 for residents and $250 for nonresidents. The rates went up in 1957–58, to $100 for in-state students and $275 for out-of-state students. Two years later, in 1959–60, rates rose to $110 and $300, respectively.
Since 1969–70, tuition and fees have increased each year. In fall 2013, undergraduate fees and tuition per semester were $10,403 for residents and $26,653 for nonresidents (ranking UW-Madison sixth among Big Ten public universities)."

What is curious is that college tuition at UW Madison has gone up at a rate more than 10 times that of inflation, which 'necessitates' the need for student loans, the biggest scam ever leveled at the American people resulting in a present debt of 1.5 Trillion dollars, much of it uncollectable.

I'll say it again: you know stuff!

The 50s we're not a great period of this nation. People struggled. I hated the 50s on america and will never say a positive thing about them.

Yes!

Let's bring back 90% tax brackets, strong union membership, and jobs that paid enough so Mom could stay home and take care of the house and kids.

And let's not forget the draft so young guys could be enslaved into fighting and dying in some misguided military escapades.

Thanks to "Rosie the Riveter" moms no longer want to stay home and raise the kids.
