Yeah, that has to be it.
No, that could never be it. There is no way they would be smart enough to do that. Don't be so naive.

I can see it now...."here is the plan Pooty, we are going to act like our army is inept and become the laughing stock of the whole world so that the US will keep spending billions helping Ukraine. Now, I know that most of those billions are going right back into their economy as their defense contractors replace the old shit they are giving Ukraine, but trust me in the end this will work out"
You watch way too many movies and TV.
The thing is, that is not what is happening. We aren't replenishing everything we have donated because a) our budget doesn't allow it. Things have gotten more expensive in case you didn't know, and b, our production can't keep up with our giveaway. Much like the oil reserves that idiot Biden stole from to temporarily lower the price at the pump, he doesn't think things through and his followers will buy anything his moronic press secretary throws out at them.
at least you agree the Russian army is the laughing stock of the whole world.
They can't compare to the US, but Ukraine isn't laughing and many members of NATO will only laugh as long as the US has their backs.
2 years they have been trying to take over the Ukraine, I doubt many NATO countries are all that worried
You over-estimate the military capabilities of many of the NATO countries, particularly those in Western Europe. They are very liberal and tend to spend their money on social frills rather than taking care of the necessities like national defense. That is why Germany wasn't paying their agreed portion of GDP into NATO. If the liberals in the US get their way, we will head down the same path, which will lead to countries like Russia and China taking our place.
Russia is done, the only reason anyone cares about them is their nukes.
But yeah, Odin forbid that countries take care of their own citizens instead of spending more on defense than the next 7 countries combined.
China will take our place via economic means, not their military.
Russia will ultimately join forces with China and Iran.
Not directly related to Russia, but the Democrats lack of support for Israel(Biden is begrudgingly appeasing his rich Jewish Democratic base by providing support now) and their soft stance against Iran will come back to haunt us in the form of Israel taking matters into their own hands and a much larger war starting. In short, the Biden’s administration foriegn policy is a complete disaster of monumental proportions on virtually every level.
Maybe we should stop contributing our agreed upon amount to NATO. What do you think would happen? Do you think the French and the Germans could divert enough away from wine and cheese and public parks to protect themselves? They are naive, almost childlike, as are most Democrats in this country.
It will be a combination, but allowing Chinese nationals to very easily walk across our Southern border doesn’t seem like a fabulous idea. He could lock the border down without any help from Congress, but he has no such desire.
If you believe Biden’s goal was for America to remain the world’s superpower, then he has been an abject failure and is a complete moron. If you believe his goal was to undermine our influence and position , he has been a roaring success and is an absolute genius.
I know right, we should have unconditional support for Israel, no matter what they do. So what if they target and kill some aid workers trying to feed starving people, screw em if they cannot take a joke.
The EU would be just fine and we would lose all our power of them, which is why we would never do such a thing. We are not in NATO for the benefit of NATO, but for our own power.
Indeed it is not, and indeed he has no such desire, then again neither has any POTUS who came before him
The time of the US as a world superpower is coming to a close no matter who is sitting in the White House. We had a good run, but all things must come to an end. We put all our eggs in the "we will control the world with our military" basket and it is bankrupting us and is not going to be sustainable for much longer. While we were spending trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan with nothing to show for it China has been spending trillions in Africa and South/Central America ensuring a customer base for the future. Which strategy do you think will work better in the long run?
The fact that you believe that Israel targeted, imply intentionality, those aid workers is very telling of your political slant. That is an MSNBC and CNN viewpoint. If you recall, Israel accidently killed some of their own a while back. Were they targeting them as well? Mistakes happen in war. Innocents are killed. Friendly fire kills soldiers.
The EU would be absolutely lost if we pulled out of NATO and would be shaking in their boots, as they should be. I agree we are in NATO for our own power, but the NATO needs us or they would lose all influence and power.
You haven’t been paying attention to the numbers. I don’t think the MSM reports them because they don’t want people to know just how bad it is. Biden reveresd many of Trump’s border policies, including remain in Mexico. There is plenty he could do to curb illegal immigration, but he and Democrats see them as future potential voters. NYC is already pushing for non-citizens to have the right to vote in local elections. It won’t be long before that non-sense spreads to illegals or there is a mass push to grant amnesty to everyone in the country, legal or not and give them the right to vote. The Democratic Party establishment knows this. The far left of their base don’t care but most are just ignorant to the facts.
It isn’t our military spending in the US that is bankrupting us.
Do you have a problem sending money to the Ukraine? Will there ever be an end? It sure doesn’t look like it
How do you feel about the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, leaving billions worth of equipment on the ground?
The strength of the US military is a stabilizing force in the world. Believe it or not, there are many bad actors in the world that would love nothing more than for the US to stand down and let them have their way. Russia would take over Ukraine at the least. China would take Taiwan. China, Iran and Russia would destroy Israel and would move into Europe. None of these other countries have the military might to fight such a group without the support of the US. These same bad actors would also love to have a piece of the relative luxury we have in the US, not to mention our vast natural resources. They are more than willing to take it by force if our military is not up to defending it, though the way we are headed, they can sit idly by and watch our internal collapse thanks to our woke, child-like, naive and spoiled electorate.
