Beginning in 2018 the multi billion dollar cash crop, Marijuana, will add to our states GDP, and reduce costs to local government in terms of law enforcement (police, probation, courts). Bad for the Pharmaceutical and Adult Beverage Industries, but ending of the black market will increase tax revenue and continue California as an economic behemoth.

Yeah, and another of California's major economic pillars is its' agriculture. That agriculture depends on water from out of state.


The California folks seem to think that they can go it alone, but once the fresh water runs out, they are fucked. If they had studied their history, they would have known what happened to the ancient cultures once the water runs dry.

If water runs out worst comes to worst........ there's this last option desalination plant like we have right now in Catalina island. So don't worry about water. We will survive.

The Leftards of California fight every effort to install desalinization plants. It harms their pretty views.

It takes years of leftist enviro paperwork to get approved before even one shovel goes in the ground.

Good luck drinking dirt in the meantime.

Because scientists have discovered that aquifers have been mysteriously refilled from deeper still aquafers. Once THAT is used up? You are completely and totally screwed.

You didn't learn your lessen with the shallow aquifers, what makes you think behavior and population dynamics are going to change? Once those reserves are tapped, they will run dry within a decade or so.

It will also increase the amount of earthquakes and the destabilization of the geology. You guys just might sink into the ocean.
