It`s a question he posed to AGW believers, that makes it an AGW question.
He might have been a bit more accurate:"than can be explained by any current theory of physics?"
Physics can explain it...what was wrong was the theory how hot the sun`s atmosphere should be ...because that theory forgot to consider how much energy is added by the plasma waves which are magnetic waves.
That they are magnetic waves was known, what was not known that in addition to Alfven waves the plasma tubes also have a torsional component of over 20 km per second.
And conventional physics tells you that a changing magnetic field ( a "magnetic wave") will induce a current...and can move charged particles.
The higher the rate of change the higher the current...The faster a magnet moves by a conductor the more current will be induced. If you move it fast enough it will heat it up.
Adding the torsional component to the circular wave component gives a rate of change that is more than enough to explain with conventional physics why the sun`s atmosphere is hotter than the surface.
I read what`s on this web page every day, because I watch solar activity very closely:
SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids
And a couple of years ago they had a link to a webpage that discussed it.

The theory that had it wrong simply did not consider the torsional component...just like the AGW theory does not want to consider the changes of the solar component..that`s why none of them were even aware of the latest solar research findings.
All their computer models plug in the sun like it was a heat lamp on a stabilized/constant power supply which does not need to be studied.

Is there anything that you know anything about? Do you know who first characterized the nazis as right wing? None other than Joseph Stalin. Read the book on fascism by Jonah Goldberg. He points out that prior to the ending of WWII, fascism was widely viewed and accepted as a progressive social movement among those who would later be called liberals. After the war, however, the revisionism began and leftists have been working ever since to distance themselves from hitler the black sheep socialist.
