A prediction coming true

Lordy, lordy. President Barak Hussein Obama hasn't been in six months yet. What we are seeing is the direct results of the actions of the eight years of the prior administration. You guys had eight years of chances to get it right. You failed in every sphere of endevour, from economics to war.

Now you want to tell President Obama how to run the government. No way. You are already proven incompetants and fools.

As for your stupid babble about armed rebellion, the government would have plenty of help from citizens to kick your asses back in line. You lost the election due to exteme incompetance and stupid ideology. Now you are threatoning armed rebellion? What a bunch of losers!

Wait ... so when something good happens three months into his presidency it's because of him, but six months after is something bad happens it's still "Bush's fault"?

While I'm not thrilled with Obama at this point, I think you are kidding yourselves if you think anything would have been different with McCain.

conservatives, libertarians, and the GOP-base never supported McCain in 2008

We still would've had the bailouts of the banks. Most likely we would have had a bailout of GM and Chrysler, and there still would've been a large stimulus package that threw $800 billion down the toilet.

It's called buying support

Despite what a lot of you think, the banks had to be saved.

Wrong. The problem had to be addressed years ago, when fiscal conservatives within the Republican party kept telling you this shit would happen

I don't like it, and some heads should've rolled over everything that led to this mess, but the banks had to be saved.
New banks would have replaced then. The recovery would have been slower, but the long-term recovery would be more solid.

The car companies should've been forced into bankruptcy first, then the government could have stepped in.
the Fed should have let the market and the consumers decide who stayed in business and who replaced those who failed-

And last of all, the stimulus should have been set up completely different.

All of the stimuli under Bush and Obama have ad the same result- we're still fucked

It's time to elect officials who actually represent the people of the United States who actually contribute to the economy.

Not going to happen. The American masses are too stupid and complacent to have a free republic that actually works.

Wrong. We're reaping the fruits of 25+ years of being fucked by both parties

You guys had eight years of chances to get it right. You failed in every sphere of endevour, from economics to war.

The war can never be won

Now you want to tell President Obama how to run the government. No way. You are already proven incompetants and fools.

Right... which is why your govt always does so much better? Your leaders are known to be liars, tax cheats, thieves- and one refuses to demonstrate that he is even qualified to hold office, after his own family said he was not born in America

As for your stupid babble about armed rebellion, the government would have plenty of help from citizens to kick your asses back in line.

Most Americans wouldn't know what to do if violence happened. They'd just start looting and then, if it didn't end quickly, they'd embrace the first tyrant who could maintain order. No surprise, though, it's happened many times in history. Successful regime changes and revolutions are always led by an elite few of the smartest or most driven visionaries- be it the American War for Independence or the Red Revolution of China.

Welcome to politics :eusa_whistle:

Instead of throwing $800 billion to the wind, they should have made a tax credit of between $5000 and $10.000 to anyone who purchased a new car. Run the numbers; figure out how many cars likely would have been sold. Then figure out how that would have effected the rest of the economy.

Unfortunately, well, I won't even go there.

Ditto. And the clock is ticking on The Prophet's great social spending plan. Am sure parts of it will be implemented. There is little more to do at this stage but wait. Same goes for his foreign policy approach.

If "we're" "incompetents and fools," what does that make Obama for following the same economic and war policies as Bush?

My opinion... The government has no business bailing anybody or anything out. If their poor business plans, along with the UAW, led them to bankruptcy, so be it. They could have reorganized, obtained some less paid and less demanding worker bees, and thought about making cars that people were really interested in buying. Why does any car company need to have more than two or three different models? Now, our government has turned towards socialization and things are only going to get worse. Time will bear me out on this. The banks, AIG, and all of the rest should have gone under also. As you can see from listening to the news, bailouts haven't helped anybody. We gave GM and Chrysler all of that money and they went belly up anyway. Let them all fail. They can come back a bit smarter...
