A generic introduction.

What are your reasons for supporting H Clinton?
As someone who doesn't lean to the far left or far right (I'd consider myself left leaning though..), and my own observations of where the election is heading, the only candidate that rings with me is Hillary Clinton. She is quite honestly the most moderate out of the candidates from both sides, as someone who leans to the left on social issues, mainly keeping abortion legal, Hillary fills that. It's not that I care about Hillary's personal life, that doesn't matter to me. Most, if not all politicians are "liars" and "corrupt." I will not say Hillary is an exception. She does have a # of achievements and a # of mistakes, like all politicians, but, as it appears now, it will come down to Hillary Vs trump or ted cruz.. I shouldn't need to explain why Donald trump will not be getting my vote.. Ted cruz, on the other hand, is a perfect example of the social conservatism that is running through the GOP like a plague, and his policies are absolutely absurd. You could ask "why not support Bernie sanders?" That's a valid question, but I'm a realistic person, and Bernie's economic ideas are off the rails, much like Trump's ideas on everything, including economics. I also want a president who will be able to actually compromise and get things done, a man who calls himself a "socialist" getting any of the things he says done? Not in my lifetime..

So you think Hillary will compromise? Maybe you NEED to consider peoples personal lives. You cant judge their character by what they say on stage..
I never understood why lefties would vote for a corrupt corporatist like HRC.. She goes against everything they say. Like income equality for example. Like a corporatist cares
Here is a good question for you to answer. Simple yes or no is all we need : If you owned a business and had a position open, and the person you were interviewing was already stealing from your company. You knew this without a doubt, would you go on to hire them anyways?

Hillary will almost definitely compromise, she knows the ins and outs of the political world, her husband is Bill Clinton after all. I don't think you understood my personal lives statement, it's mainly a reference to people who keep trying to connect Hillary to everything Bill clinton did and a butt load of other partisan hackery. Hillary is no more a corrupt corporatist then any of the GOP candidates, wait, how are you defining "corporatist?" Hillary may or may not personally care about income inequality, but she does have ideas on how to combat the problem. Better then anything the GOP is offering this time around. Your question is not relevant and applies to virtually every politician, not just Hillary. Virtually all of them are guilty.

damn right they are. Doesn't mean you have to vote for them, though.
Yea, she says she does. So did all the others. But what happened? They de-regulated the banks, bailed our corporations, still the rich dodge taxes etc
She supports unfair trade, big banks and other various vices that fuck the people. How does that help?
And to my question (since you didn't answer): Her and her slush fund managing husband use tax payer money to pay their charity employees salaries. TAX PAYER MONEY to pay a private salary. The GSA has done reports. And what is worse is, the lawyers skirted around the law and made it legal!
Why would someone combat income equality when they are MAKING IT?

It is funny to watch you far left drones actually believe that you have a choice in your nominations..

I'm a far left drone? Yes, a far left drone that believes Reagan did quite a few good things, who is against gun control, who thinks Bernie's economic ideas are disastrous.. I guess that makes me a far left drone..

Hello everyone. I thought I should give the members of this forum a glimpse of myself and look forward to some decent debate. I am a left leaning individual. although I lean towards the "middle" on some issues, and I move away from the American left mainstream when it comes to gun control. (I am against more gun control.) I consider myself a realist when it comes to my candidate, and as of now, I consider myself a "supporter" of Hillary Clinton, due to what I am currently observing occurring within this election. It should be noted that I am quite liberal on many social issues and a very vocal pro choice advocate. This is just a tiny amount of information but I feel as if I should put it here. :)

Oh, so you're the liberal who stole my sweetroll?

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took a twinkie to the knee.

Yes, 3 candidates. You will one of Hillary, Trump and Cruz ?!

I've actually changed quite considerably since my OP, a friend of mine introduced me to MMT, and I've been doing quite a lot of reading. He also gave me some good reading about neoliberalism, and I can't consider myself a Hillary support anymore.

Believe it or not, I don't know everything.

Yes, I know, it's hard to believe.

The other day, I mistakenly asked my father who is now in his late eighties if he knew if a person, to his knowledge, could run for president from prison.

Dad said no.

As it turns out, dad was wrong. He must be slipping.

As it turns out, Eugene Debs ran for President from prison!

So YAY! You're in the clear. . . looks like your candidate can go all the way. Are you still going to vote for her if she is in prison?

Not my candidate anymore. This was before my friend introduced me to MMT and readings on neoliberalism.

The only ones who want to burn stuff down are the morons who believe we can reduce revenue and cut spending.

What the fuck? You're the idiot who comes into my introduction thread and posts a stupid meme about Bernie sanders with little to no relevance to anything. Pardon me if I respond with something of my own, ****.

I'm sorry. I'm just busting your chops. You're right, that was rude. I apologize.

But hey, look on the bright side, you got to try out the automatic censorship software.
