A 45 million year record of Arctic sea temperatures and ice melt

Of course. Urbanization and deforestation being prime examples. You want to ban those?
I think economically people would be wise to have fewer kids. In 1800 1 billion people. We wanted people to have more kids. For growth. We never imagined today we'd have 8 billion people on this planet. Enough growth huh?

It would be great if we one day only had 4 billion. I think the planet can sustain that.

This year, Earth Overshoot Day fell on July 28

Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity has used all the biological resources that Earth regenerates during the entire year.

We need it to fall on December 31st. Or how about we don't even use up everything in a year? We use less than we should. That would be cool.

Everything will work out the way it should.

Everything will work out the way it should.
Well maybe not the way it should. What does that even mean?

Did you see the Family Guy where Al Gore won? We didn't get hit on 9-11 or have the Global Recession but the world was much worse in the 2010's for whatever reason. LOL.

So the right thing to say is everything will work out the way it will work out. Not necessarily the way it should. Maybe you didn't have to die of cancer if we did it a different way than they way we "should".

Your comment really makes me think. Everything will work out the way it "should"? How should things work out? Can you tell me how things should be so I know if you end up being right or not?

Try thinking 4th dimensionly.

What makes you think that? Our unending world peace? The lack of hunger? The absence of political oppression? The zero murder and violent crime rates? Pandemics? Lead in the water? Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus? Herschel Walker running for the Senate? Global warming? Elon Musk spending $44 billion to destroy Twitter in a month?

This thread >proves< absolutely nothing

There are no proofs in the natural sciences. The study on which the OP is based provides a significant amount of evidence that CO2 levels above 400 ppm will very likely eliminate the Antarctic ice shelf. Eliminating the shelf will cause massive amounts of landlocked ice to slide into the ocean and raise sea levels dramatically. It will very likely lead to a catastrophic collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS). We could see sea levels rise by ten feet in a decade's time. Coping with THAT really would cost trillions of dollars.

I believe solar panels that create electricity is green.
The mining, processing, and manufacturing required to make solar panels is far from "Green", and produces more "pollution" than those panels prevent.

But go ahead and believe whatever fallacies you choose. Just to force(mandate) the rest of us have to follow your idiocy.

You must work for oil or coal companies or you are heavily invested...or you're a trumpbot.

This approach is precisely why our discussion has to be seen as a political issue and not as something for scientific inquiry.
Well I'm sorry but scientific consensus among the scientific community says you're an idiot. And a political message board is exactly where liars spread their misinformation. If a real climate scientist were here they'd be able to tell you quickly why your information is wrong. If not, you should go work for NASA.

But you believe the scientists are lying because their jobs depend on it. Or because GREEN corporate lobbyists are paying them to lie. Never will you ever admit the Republicans are paid by the oil and coal lobbyists to lie.

And you must be a combination of ignorance and idiot, as well as a gullible Gorebot. Or maybe employed by a company looking to profit from the "global climate change" scam.

I'm invested in a pension(via prior union employment) and 401K's and if you had half a brain and a minimum grasp of economics you'd know that such are invested in energy and manufacturing stocks and bonds along with other investment market products. I'm only as "heavily invested" as the above are, and that indirectly.

As has been pointed out to you, you lack credibility on this subject when you aren't personally doing all you can to reduce you own "carbon footprint". But this is common to socialist/communist dupes like you, and 'Crick', whom expect others to do something that you won't do yourself.

Parasite!
