60 days of Donald Trump

Trump Supporters: 60 days in to Donald Trump's administration, and what have we learned?

* There is not going to be much of a wall on our southern boarder, and what we do build, we'll be paying for it, not Mexico.

* Passing healthcare legislation, even with a friendly Republican controlled Congress is a lot more difficult than it sounded 6 months ago in those speeches.

* President Trump didn't exactly tell the truth about wire tapping Trump Tower, now did he?

* Republicans in the House and Senate are beginning to distance themselves from Trump, due to his erratic behavior, and tweets.

* It's now the F.B.I (not just those pesky Liberals) who want answers to Donald Trump's ties with Russia.

* The founding fathers of our nation, designed our country to be governed as a democracy, not a for profit business.

Relax Trump supporters, as a left leaning Independent, I'm not going to insult you, curse at you, or belittle you ( though I've received plenty of that from some of you) No, I would only ask you to consider the next time someone you don't know get's up and starts making such threatening and foreboding speeches that seek to divide us, you do your homework, ask questions, consider that the answers to complex problems are not always simple, and most of all, try to see issues from the other side of the aisle. For over 200 years Conservatives and Liberals worked together to craft legislation and pass laws, it called compromise, and it's not a dirty word. Compromise is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of innovation and intelligence. The founding fathers of our nation (who happen to be pretty smart guy's) set things up to work this way, and that's not going to change. I would also ask you to consider that Jesus Christ (who happen to be a real smart guy) once said: "A house divided against itself, will not stand" :bye1:
Waaaay better than 60 days of Hillary.

Yep. Plus we are getting the SC nominee a lot of us wanted, and was a big reason I voted for Trump over voting for the Libertarian option as a protest vote.

Plus, the sun still rises every day, the DOW is doing fine, bunnies still dream of spring beginning, almost all of the political violence and angst still comes from the left, and so far No one has been placed into the Trumpenfuhrer camps.

Its been a wild 60 days.....Not as easy as Trump thought it would be

It should have been a cakewalk/lovefest with a Republican President and a Republican Congress with Democrats disorganized and on the ropes. Yet Trump has managed to make a mess of things

-The first day in office which Trump bragged would dazzle us with what he would get done........turned into an argument over how big his inauguration crowd was
-Muslim ban failed
- Trumpcare is a trainwreck with Trump fighting for Republican support
- Trump should be using his political capital to push Trumpcare, the budget, Gorsuch ......instead he is fighting over his wiretap claims

The big black cloud of Trumps ties to Russia hang over his administration
Wild, yes. Still better than Hillary Clinton. :)

The Democrats and LWers have been predicting the failure of the Trump administration as soon as they dried their eyes on November 9th.

Guess what?
Hillary didn't win

Trump won and is responsible for what happens with his presidency

Agreed on all points. I wish more Democrats like yourself would admit those points. Especially the first one.

Although I didn't vote for Trump, I considered both candidates to be deplorable. If I had to choose between the two, I'd rather have Trump than Hillary for two main reasons:

1) Hillary losing means breaking the Clinton Dynasty and their hold on the DNC.

2) No matter how badly Trump fucks ups, he still has to contend with (a) a heavily partisan and divided Congress and (b) a Republican party that is not an ardent Trump fan.

Translation- I cannot believe what a mistake we made, but I will not admit it.
What mistake are you claiming I or "we" made?

Still better than Hillary. Trump is a trainwreck happening before our eyes and you will not admit your mistake.

What Trump, GOP said about FBI probes to attack Clinton

Reince Priebus

Serving at the time as the chairman of the Republican National Committee, Priebus put it pretty clearly: He thought the FBI probe alone was enough to prove Clinton shouldn’t be President.

Kellyanne Conway
Trump’s campaign manager appeared on Fox News about two weeks before Election Day to discuss the Clinton probe's last-minute reopening. She said the existence of a second FBI investigation was proof that Clinton had a “corruption and an ethics problem.”

In case her point didn’t come across, Conway then tweeted about her appearance and added: “Most honest people I know are not under FBI investigation, let alone two.”

Marco Rubio
“We have a good group of people running,” he told a rally crowd in Dallas.
At a minimum I can say this: None of them is a socialist. None of our candidates is under FBI investigation.”

Days before the election, Rubio stumped from Trump in Punta Gorda, Fla., asking the crowd, “Can this country afford to have a President under investigation by the FBI?”

The audience roared back, “No!”

Mike Pence
After Pence signed on as Trump's running mate, he kept pushing the party line: FBI probe? Don’t vote Clinton.
“It would be ‘extremely careless’
to elect Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States,” Pence tweeted.

Pence tweeted that he and Trump “commend the FBI for reopening an investigation into Clinton's personal email server because no one is above the law.”

Donald Trump
It’s fair to say that not a single person in the campaign — or on the planet — railed about Clinton’s FBI probe as much as Trump.

Trump kept the investigation alive as a perpetual talking point in tweets (more than a dozen of them), rallies, debates and media appearances. He invariably tossed it in with uses of his insult of choice, “Crooked Hillary.”

Trump didn’t even think we needed to wait for the FBI to finish its work before we could "lock her up".

“Crooked Hillary Clinton lied to the FBI and to the people of our country. She is sooooo guilty. But watch, her time will come!” he tweeted in July.

That same month, he called for Russian hackers to steal Clinton’s Secretary of State emails and publish them.

That comment made its way into the first hour of Monday’s congressional hearing — when Comey confirmed the FBI now had its sights set on Trump.

hold on to your hats in the stock market as the "trump bump" becomes the "trump pump and dump"! :eusa_clap:

Agreed on "still better than Hillary" and that Trump is a trainwreck.

Again, what mistake are you claiming I've made, much less failing to admit???

That Hillary would be a much better person to have as President. I do not like her, but I know that she would be a better President than Trump. He is not even mentally stable.

Hillary certainly has more Washington bureaucrat experience and she certainly had the full backing of the Democratic party, as corrupt and cronyistic as that was, but I disagree that she is best for the country. Yes, Trump isn't as competent and he is a bit nuts, but Congress can deal with that. It's their fucking job. What I think our nation needs is for both major political parties reconsider what they've been doing and why they each lost. Yes, it's a "Republican" in the WH, but you should admit that Trump was never their choice as the nominee.

The Republicans have to reign him in or get rid of him. Preferably the latter

1. Trump did not think it would be easy.

2. It is very dishonest of you to pretend that it should have been a cake walk. YOu are pretending to be unaware of the deep divisions in the GOP to the point that that much of the GOP establishment sided with HIllary.

The fact that you know you have to be dishonest, shows that you know that that the Truth is not on your side.

Yet you refuse to make the logical step to realize that means you are wrong.

3. THe Muslim Ban didn't fail. Democracy failed, because of a fascist judge.

4. On a global scale Medical Care is a problem without apparent solutions.

5. No matter what Trump says or does, the Political Class, the media and their partisans (you) would be saying the same stuff.

6. Russia is a manufactured scandal.

Reality is bitch...

Divine,

1) Dynasty has to last at least one Generation. Hillary's Husband was a very good President. His numbers are very good, what was wrong with more of the same?

2) You gave a man which lacked almost every characteristic to be President a GOP House and Senate... The House are just terrible on all sides but the are also weak, the Senators are a slim hope of normality..

Clinton might not have been a great campaigner but she has shown well in governing...

1) Thanks for confessing you are against the use of metaphors.

2) It's not my place to determine who is President of the United, that is up to American voters. However, besides doing my civic duty of voting in every election, I also abide by the democratic decision of our election system by respecting the office of elected officials even though I may disagree with them partially or completely. Additionally, I support our tripod system of government. When the RWNJs were screaming about "King" Obama, I disagreed with them for the same reason I'm disagreeing with you that an understanding of how our government works the way it does.

What the hell are you talking about?

He is a real outsider in a system that has demonstrated is virulently hostile to any outsider.

For you to claim that "it should have been easy for him" is insanely dishonest or deluded of you.

Knock that shit off and talk sense.

All Trump had to do is "play president"
Go to meetings, shake a lot of hands, smile for the cameras

Reagan was quite good at it

Do that and Republicans pass legislation, Trump signs it, the economy is strong.....Trump gets reelected

But Trump can't help himself. He can't ignore the small stuff. He had to accuse Obama of a crime

Then there is that Russian thing.......

Nothing in your post makes any sense, what so ever.

1.THat would NOT have led to a peaceful quiet presidency. You lefties and your various allies would have been just as hateful and vile as you have been.

2. Trump, nor anyone in his right mind would have gone though the election process to have a quiet time. Your recommendation would be nothing but a path to failure and more failure.

Two freaking months? Are lefties going crazy or does their political perspective only extend to the last comedy channel parody? What the hell did Barry Hussein accomplish in sixty freaking days?
